An expensive keep warm beverage holder!

I have been using insulated cups for years to keep my coffee warm as long as possible. When I first became aware of the use of PCM in coffee mugs recently, I was pretty skeptical but went ahead and ordered this cup to try it out. After using it for a couple of days, I decided to do an actual experiment to see if the claims held up. The methodology was pretty simple: I filled each up with very hot (160 F) water, stuck in a thermometer, and shot a time lapse of each one for four hours. My first review was rejected because I included a link to the film, so I am not going to do that here, but it is very easy to find if you search for “insulated cup v lexo phase changing” on the popular Tube service.As you can be seen on the video, the traditional insulated cup loses thermal energy linearly and the water ends up at 120 F after 4 hours. In the LAXO cup, the temperature drops quickly from 160F to 140F fairy quickly, but then stays close to 140F the rest of the time. In fact, when I finally emptied out the LAXO cup at the end of the experiment, the inside of the cup was still radiating heat.Honestly, I was pretty surprised that the product claim actually turned out to be somewhat true - that’s pretty rare with these kinds of product claims.In other respects, the cup is fine. It’s a bit too big for my car’s oddly small cup holders. Also, the extra heft of all the cup keeps tricking me into thinking I have coffee left, only to get disappointed when I end up gulping nothing but warm air. Other than that, it’s a fine cup

A temperature-controlled drinking tumbler, what an idea! It cools your drink within a few minutes to drinking temperature and holds it there. We like the tumbler a lot! I bought my daughter a 16 oz and I bought a 10 oz. Both hold slightly more than they are rated. They are classy, slim and easy to hold and easily fit well in a professional environment. They are not too wide to hold, important to us, as we do deal with potential carpal tunnel issues. The green mug has a great grip-type surface, whereas the 10 oz has a slick surface yet does not slip in your hand. There is a "secret" to drinking from the hinged lid on the 10 oz - barely open the hinged lid! Then it works great! This mug holds our coffee and frothed milk at about 135-140 degrees for a long time. The tumbler appears to be made of high-quality materials and we hand-wash because it's so easy and to protect it, but it is dishwasher safe. The company says they are working on a 12 oz size, which we will be getting. Makes a high quality gift. They also have a Lifetime Warranty and are BPA-free. I was hoping that this would be great one given the price, but I find that my coffee is cold within an hour and I don’t mean to the ideal drinking temperature.

This is far and away, hands-down the best mug I have ever purchased. I mean that quite sincerely. I have now purchased four of these mugs...two for myself, and one for my dad and brother, and I'll buy more if I find anyone else mug-worthy.The primary problem with most travel mugs has always been that they only keep your coffee at the optimal temperature for a few minutes. The coffee starts and stays too hot for a bit, gives you an unannounced 10-minute window for beverage enjoyment, then leaves you with a lukewarm cup of sadness for the rest of the engagement. You then have three choices...pour it out, choke it down, or take your chances with the microwave.I say no thanks.My coffee-drinking experience has been undeniably upgraded...for your sake (I suppose it makes no difference to me), I hope you make the same choice!

We received this a couple of days ago, and we think it is an extremely innovative way to solve a very common problem people face while drinking coffee.When you typically order a cup of coffee (in a cardboard coffee cup you'd get at any coffee shop), your coffee is too hot to drink at first. Then there is a 5 minute window at perfect temperature, but the coffee gets too cold too fast. On the other hand, if you use a standard vacuum mug, the coffee stays too hot for too long and is undrinkable. With this mug, it stays hot for hours at the perfect temperature!We'll be using this regularly.

Cools the drink like it says, keeps it warm for about 30 minutes. After that it gets cold. Returning this useless cup.

This is a great coffee mug. Works as well as they claim. I actually do not like really hot coffee so I was always waiting for my coffee to cool off and then I would forget about it. This takes it down to a great temperature and it keeps it there for a really long time. I am very impressed.
