What can you say? It's a sonos.
LOVE this thing. We bring it out to the back yard bocce court where our patio zone doesn't reach well without cranking it to 11, Spinal Tap style. Battery has good lasting strength, though we haven't needed to run it long enough to run it down. The sound is rich and full with outstanding lows, as you'd expect from Sonos. It feels weighty and very sturdy. The molded in carry handle is very comfortable to where it feels impossible to ever drop from a bad grip. While portable, you wouldn't tote this around in a backpack. We'll probably buy another one for bocce nights. We have several zones in our house, via ceiling speakers but in our large great room we supplement the sound with a sub, the Move 2 and a Sonos 1. Sound comes at you from all directions. The charging base fts so incosipously under it that you can hardly notice it. Came w/ a nice soft case, free as a mail-to-you bonus. The only thing I don't care for is that it has no light or other way of indicating when it's on or off. You must listen very carefully for two different tones that indicate when it has been turned on or off

Finally found a portable speaker that actually sounds amazing
I've gone through more portable speakers than I'd like to admit. Most of them sound good but fall short on battery, or last forever but have flat sound. The Move 2 is the first to check both boxes and still looks good. The set up was quick and easy. I had it on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth within minutes. I mostly use AirPlay around the house or in my back yard during BBQs, but Bluetooth is a nice backup to be ready to go for placed like the beach. The connection was solid. No skipping or strange pairing issues, even when switching devices. The thing that surprised me the most was the sound. It really feels like a stereo setup right in a little box. The vocals are crisp, the bass is deep without being muddy, and it easily fills room without distortion. I've tested it with everything from acoustic to hip hop to podcasts and it handles them all well. At all volumes, it still sounds full and rich, which is rare for portable speakers. Battery life lives up to the hype. I used it all day outside and still had a charge left. Charging is easy with the base, and I like that I can use USB-C if needed. The build quality also feels sturdy without being utilitarian and ugly. We were out in light rain and sun with no problems. I don't write many reviews, but this is one of the few products I would buy again without any hesitation. If you're on the fence, this is worth it. Especially if you care about sound and need something that doesn't feel like a compromise.

A loud and heavy beast of a moveable Sonos speaker
It's pricey, but it's worth it. There is almost no chance you'll be disappointed in how the Move 2 sounds and the battery life is now more than respectable. If you've invested into the Sonos ecosystem and would benefit from a moveable, but powerful speaker, you should buy this now. The sound is deep and full with great projection, more bass response than you'd expect, and clarity even when at it's very loud max volume. My story is that I wanted a large, loud portable Sonos speaker and that's exactly what I got. My first use of the Move 2 was hosting a bike race party where the front porch and front yard were the primary gathering places (which is unusual, but the course was visible from out there). A smaller speaker like a Roam would have been OK, but even cranked all the way would have been a bit low. I put the Move 2 back in the corner of the porch, turned it 70% up and you could hear and feel it throughout the 40' x 30'ish area we needed it to cover. We also use this when hanging out on our back deck and I'll put it out of the garage window when I'm cutting the grass or gardening. It's about 30% larger than a Play:1/One/Era 100 and probably about 20% louder with more pronounced bass and a wider sound stage. It doesn't sound appreciably louder to me than the original Move, but the additional tweeter means it does cover a noticeably wider area. The original was so directional that I don't know that I'd have brought it to a small tailgate party, but I would bring the Move 2 since it covers a wider area. Sound profile wise, it's more bass capable than you'd expect from a portable speaker. I used the app to add more bass via the EQ and it responds without issue. You will feel bass-heavy songs with this speaker. I've had no issues with WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity. My iPhone 15 Pro Max maintains a clear line-of-sight Bluetooth connection to about 65 feet, but we use it via WiFi since it doesn't leave the property due to the size and weight. If we're driving or taking a train (can't check it on a flight due to the battery), I'd bring the Move 2, otherwise I'd just bring the Roam or B&O A1 (both of which are excellent in their own right) in my carry-on. Again, highly recommended. If you've made it this far, it's probably in your cart already.

Best in this Segment
I have been in the market searching for bluetooth speaker which gives immersive experience and can be kayed outdoors. After a decent research, I zereod out on this product. Hands-down, this is the best one. Might feel a bit pricey but its worth all the features it gives. We use it for movie nights, Casual songs and lot of other music and we can hear detailed beat of every music and the bass is very premium. Overall this is a premium product. Others mentioned problems with Sonos app, but for me everything worked great !!!

Great sound quality! Too bad they skip and stutter constantly.
Sonos has created an incredible high fidelity speaker with totally unreliable connectivity. The over-wifi option via the Sonos App is totally unusable - it stutters at a constant rhythm and skips songs. The first 10 seconds of any song I play get skipped. So the only real option is to use AirPlay. Bluetooth seems to work okay, but as we all know - bluetooth quality is not utilizing the full range of the speaker. Airplay lets me hear about 85% of my music. The other 15% is stuttering, static, skipping, etc. Be great if you guys fixed your firmware. I like how these speakers sound, but I wish they didn't kill the vibe with the constant skipping, stuttering and static. Update: I spoke with a service technician today because my left speaker was quieter and more dull sounding than the right one, and she re-set the speaker remotely. When asked about the stuttering, skipping and static, she explained that this issue happens because the device cannot handle the high bitrate of lossless audio. What is the point of creating a high fidelity speaker if it cannot handle the bandwidth of the audio? UPDATE: Since the support agents told me the issue was due to my WiFi network being too slow, I upgraded my wireless router to a really beefy ASUS ROG one. All of my other wireless devices have significantly increased performance, but the Sonos Move 2 speakers? They still skip constantly while streaming high quality audio.

Great sound and looks. Horrible YouTube Music integration.
We just remodeled our kitchen and wanted a wireless speaker that we can use to listen to music while we cook and for dinner parties when people come over. Got it on my dad's recommendation. Pros - Great sound and it's loud - Aesthetically pleasing to look at - Easy to operate and great integration with the Sonos app. It relies on wifi instead of bluetooth which means you can control it from anywhere in your home and you can listen to something else in your phone while hearing music keeping both separate. - Sonos app is available for iOS, iPad OS, and Macs (Windows likely). It supports multiple music services including Apple Music. - Can be paired with another unit for stereo sound. - Part of the Sonos ecosystem which allows you to have different music in different rooms if you have other Sonos units all controlled by the Sonos app. - Really good battery life. Has a sleep feature to save even more power. - Supports control via wifi (Sonos app), bluetooth or Airplay - Charging cradle is light and nice looking as well. - Intuitive controls - Easy setup Cons - Not cheap - Doesn't work well with much older wireless routers. It won't connect after going to sleep. - Broken YouTube Music integration (more on that below) - Heavy - Agent support is spotty. The AI chat bot on the Sonos site is actually pretty good - If you set it up somewhere high, it may be difficult to reach the physical controls in the unit specially the power button which is on the back side. - If you use an Apple mobile device I could not find a way to setup a shortcut to the Sonos app on my home screen. May need to research a bit more. Overall I'm pleased with the looks/sound of this unit. I set it up to always be active or go to sleep to save battery life which means we rarely use the power button on the back. One thing to note about this feature which is really hard to find is that if you don't use the unit for more than 2- 3 days it goes into deep sleep (or off) and you will have to use the button in the back to wake it up. At first this annoyed me but it makes sense because if it is in sleep mode too long it may run out of battery which defeats the purpose of using a wireless speaker. That said you can run it on the cradle permanently and not use the sleep mode if you don't mind the cables. If your only music service is YouTube Music be aware that the integration doesn't work very well. From what I was able to research it is more of a Google issue than a Sonos issue. Setting up the service in the Sonos app is very easy but there are several frustrating limitations mainly related to use of the YTM library: 1 - There is a limit in the number of artists that the Sonos app can display for YTM so half of my library is inaccessible. 2 - For the artists that do show looking up music in my library doesn't work. When I search for an album or song that I know is in my library the Sonos app says that it can't find any music to match. 3 - Playlists seem to work as far as I can tell but I don't use playlists much. 4 - If I search for an artist in my YTM library the Sonos app finds it when I click on shuffle play for that artist the Sonos app streams music so I expect to hear only the music that I have in my YTM library for that artist but no, the Sonos app plays all the music that YTM has for that artist which includes things like outtakes, an album I don't like, remixes, live cuts and xmas songs which I don't keep in my YTM library. It is a great unit but if your only music is YTM you may want to pass on this.

I am hopeful
Great product I have the Sonos move one which I don’t care for much at all. I haven’t used the Sonos 2 that much but so far I’m loving it. The sound is much better than the one. I had all sort of issues with the Sonos one not connecting correctly battery life .
