Cant catch a break with these products. Solid 2.5/5 as in Mediocre product.
This is the second IEM wireless monitoring system i've tried from Vine and it also has been a disappointing and defective product. At the time of being sent this device, I was charged an exaggerated tax value of some +$300 for this unit which I have to report to the IRS.Now, that they've gotten some BS Vine reviewers to leave some stars, they've dropped the price to $170.. which is still too much in my honest opinion. My suggestion, shell out just a lil more for a used set of name brand IEM wireless system instead. These arent pro-sumer grade at all and are more like toys to mess with at home.Okay, so upon unboxing, the initial impression is that the product looks very cheap. Its typically very chinese and obviously designed for their domestic market and then shipped out to the US as an after thought. The manuals are all in Chinese.Channel A on my device doesnt work at all. Also the volume knob on that side is very stiff and scratchy, Unlike the Channel B side which is smooth and has a center detente. That alone, would have made me return this product, but unfortunately Im stuck with this and have to take an IRS tax hit for it. The risk here is that I have to keep this product and can't sell it or give it away.Craftsmanship is very basic and crude with sharp edging that needs deburring. Doesnt feel like a refined product, but it does work and has a decent range. The audio quality is a bit low res and dull. Kind of like a casette tape audio resolution.Ive quickly set this up to my rig with a MOTU Ultralite interface that has a digital mixer so I could send a stereo channel and click track. This stock ear buds are terrible. Keep in mind that Im also using SHURE 846 IEM with expanding foam tips to get the cleanest and tightest seal in my ear canal. Even then the audio is a bit low. It does have a limiter which cuts off audio at a certain frequency which is very annoying. Theres no way to control or tweak it. For example, im using the product right now and the key clacks of my keyboard are being cut off mid way by the IEM transmitter because my mic is picking up the keyboard clicking.Im currently testing these right now in my room, and not even with a live band. The audio on my earbuds are way too low to monitor other tracks or my own audio. And yes, ive cranked up all the volume from my wireless pack, front knob and rear gain knobs. In a noisy environment this will be a problem. Its a solid 2.5/5 stars as in very Mediocre.
