No More Spilled Water!
The age-old problem I have, is water sloshing out of the ice cube tray when I close the freezer drawer. It collects in the bottom of the freezer, sets hard, and stops me opening the drawers properly. It's really maddening! You'd think someone would come up with a better design for ice cube trays...So, I'm really delighted to be using this new ice cube maker, and sitting next to my old one it looks like a Boeing compared to a biplane.POSITIVE POINTS* No water spillage in your freezer* Tray can be placed in freezer at any angle* No need to touch the ice* Ice can be poured directly into glasses* Reasonable priceNEGATIVE POINTS* Ice cubes slightly small in size* Needs some effort to pull apart, so not suitable for some elderly or infirm users.* Doesn't produce a huge volume of ice compared to the size of the trayIN USEJust fill with water and push in the silicone plug to seal it, then place in the freezer. When frozen, remove from the freezer and run under hot water briefly, leave for a couple of minutes then press on each side to release the blocks inside. Grab the handles on each side and pull it firmly apart. If it resists, it probably needs more time to thaw a bit, and it does take a little effort in any case, so if you have arthritis or no upper body strength this is probably not suitable for you. The silicone sides fold out to form a bottle, and the ice cubes fall to the bottom. Then you just open the lid and pour the cubes directly into your drink. It's magic, and more hygienic too, as there's no need to touch the ice.Balancing the upsides and the downsides of this product, I rate it a solid four star purchase.

Too tough to use
If you want to work on your upper body strength, get one of these. You can yank on the handles for hours and nothing will happen except that you work up a sweat. Filling the thing with water and then freezing it leads to a seal that resists all efforts to pull it open. Even once you melt some of the ice and pull it open, possibly pulling a muscle in the meantime, the ice cubes don't come out of the narrow mouth. If you put it back in the freezer you have to work out all over again.2 stars as it's a good exercise - 1 star if you're after an ice cube tray.

A disappointing waste of money.
This product has been very disappointing. I used it once, followed the instructions carefully and basically found it more trouble than it was worth. I tried it again yesterday and it’s developed a leak! A complete waste of money.

Super value easy to use
Super cute invention my son uses it daily. He used to struggle with old style ice trays as he is partially sighted and would always spill before reaching the freezer

Rubbish
This is absolutely rubbish. It’s impossible to get the ice cubes out once frozen making it completely useless. Stick to a normal ice cube tray.

Too much effort for a couple of ice cubes
I am used to filling an ice tray with water, popping it in the freezer and hey presto, some hours later, I have Ice. In my opinion this product makes that job unnecessarily complicated. You pull the sides out, then add 320ml (yes I did measure it) of water, then push the bottom part together, then the top part at which point any excess water comes shooting out of the top, you then place the cap on and pop into the freezer. Once frozen you take it out, pour water over it to loosen the ice inside, pull it apart using the handles on the side and all the lovely ice cubes fall into the middle. I haven't as yet managed to get 24 (not sure why). The main problem you have now is if you only want one or two cubes then what to do with the rest. They are no longer in their moulds just lose in the container so if you pop back in the freezer and they all stick together in one frozen lump.If you are wanting to make 18+ cubes of ice to use at the same time time then this product may work well for you. The lid fits nice & securely and as it is a contained unit you do not need to lie it on the flat within the freezer. Personally I will stick to a normal silicone ice cube tray
