Lovely set of books for a great price. More for okder children of at least 7 years up, but still make a lovely present. I bought one for my daughters and liked so much I then purchased one for my Goddaughter.

I bought this book for Helen Oxenbury's illustrations as they are so different from either John Tenniel's classic drawings of Mervyn Peake's inimitable images.The boxed set is beautifully presented and the text is nice and clear and the illustrations are friendly and colourful - very suitable for a young audience who is not fixed on the classic view of Alice and her cast of characters. I particularly love Ms Oxenbury's Mad Hatter - have a look and you will see what I mean.just the job for Christmas.
