This series of books is wonderful and I have bought lots of them for my almost 12 year old daughter. Although they are written for the USA market and some of the words or phrases aren't necessarily what we would use in the UK, the advice is sound, appropriate and there is a strong emphasis on respect and kindness toward yourself, your friends and your parents throughout the series. I cannot recommend them enough. This book covers basic manners, why people tell white lies to avoid hurting others feelings, how to say please and thank you properly and how to take a compliment.

Excellent book for young girls, the language is pitched just right, my granddaughter loves it. Extremely useful book and the price is well balanced.

This book will help your child. Good manners are essential and it provide all that any child needs to know.

Great for giving pre teen advice

My daughter read this. She is a fluent reader and excels at backchat. There is no improvement in manners whatsoever and apparently all she has learnt is that by “using please and thank you either side of a swear word they makes it polite” She is still rude and this book clearly does meet its claims.

Bought for my daughter and it has bit about committing suicide in it so have taken it back from her. Not suitable for children!

Bought this for my daughter and she loved it.

I bought this for my 11 year old to help her understand how to be more aware of herself as she interacts with other children and adults in terms of having manners. Of course, children will also learn from what they see, so parents must display these same manners towards others. It was a fun book to read together.

This is exactly what I have been looking for! My 10yr old loves this. It is written in a way that she finds relevant AND interesting. It’s everything from friendly conversation, table manners (at home, friends, restaurant etc) gifts and more
