Good stuff for the most part
If you want 5.1, this won’t get you there. You can either have front sound bar with subwoofer or front sound bar with rear channels. But you won’t get 5.1, if you want to. However, if you pair this unit with a subwoofer, it really does rock and has super performance sound at high volumes. If you want 5.1 - I’m going to copy one of the other reviews below to describe how this happens. Still recommend this unit, but you have to know what you’re getting. I wanted to create the 5.1 surround sound home theatre experience. This process is a bit confusing with the Roku brand audio products. I have a 75” TCL brand Roku operating system equipped smart LCD TV. With any smart TV with the Roku operating system or an actual Roku Brand TV, the process is the same. These TV models can only support 2 WIRELESS bluetooth audio devices at once. (But the SoundBar Pro, which is not wireless, can support more, read to the end…). The Roku brand WIRELESS sound bar is 1 device, a pair of Roku wireless speakers is treated like 1 device (a second set, 4 total speakers, is also an additional 1 device) and any Roku wireless subwoofer is also 1 device. You can connect 1 WIRELESS sound bar (front channels) and 1 subwoofer, no rear channels. Or You can connect 1 pair of wireless speakers (rear channels) and 1 WIRELESS sound bar (front channels), no subwoofer. Or You can connect 1 pair of speakers (front channels) and 1 subwoofer. But I want 5.1 surround… If you want 5.1 surround like me, you’ll need to get the Roku Sound Bar Pro (not wireless), 2 sets (4 total speakers) of Roku wireless speakers, and one of the Roku wireless subwoofers (they have two; a standard 10” and a slim subwoofer thats a 5.25”). I have the slim version so it fits into my entertainment console and my room is appx 25’x40’ and its only on setting #3 and it rattles the room! With that configuration, all 6 speakers can be connected (Roku sound bar pro is the center channel, the 4 wireless speakers are your front left, front right, rear left, rear right, and the Roku wireless subwoofer is last. The Roku Sound Bar Pro is connected to the TV via HDMI-ARC, and acts like an A/V Receiver that all the other speakers connect directly to via BlueTooth; NOT directly to the TV itself. The sound quality is EXCELLENT and the setup process is SUPER simple, once you have the correct devices you want, based on the setup your trying to create, its a theatre sound level experience! Awesome sound quality, nice speakers, easy connections, very few wires, NO sound lag = AWESOME! All speakers have an individual power wire, so consider that when buying (my 5.1 surround setup (6 speakers) needs 6 wall outlets in different places). The Roku Sound Bar Pro is connected to the TV via 1 HDMI-ARC All speakers come with their power wires. The Roku Sound Bar Pro also comes with an HDMI cable, a optical audio cable, and a new Roku voice remote and with remote sound via ear buds, included. I love Roku brand remotes; super simple to use, they have 2 main styles ( infrared and RF frequency) and as long as you match up the right one to your TV, they are very interchangeable and easy to pair. It really feels like Roku was trying hard to make great sound, for several customer space configurations, and a very easy setup with very few wires. They SUCCEEDED. Both the Roku WIRELESS sound bar and Roku sound bar pro sounded really great for just a sound bar only. Adding the other speaker elements I did, just raised the bar a notch higher with each speaker. Granted, Roku is a bit pricy when compared to other brands, but with the simplicity and ease of setup, plus their support…. Its a great value.

Great soundbar for Roku TVs! Highly recommend.
Love this sounds bar. it works seemlessly with my Roku TV. I know there is a warning that it only works with Roku TVs, so make sure yours is compatible. Mine is compatible and works flawlessly. Great sound and it fits perfectly. I can finally hear dialogue and movies sound great. Considering get some of the other small ones to put behind us to get the full surround experienc!

Great quality
Speech clarity is a problem with my old soundbar. This one seems to be slightly better. I like the ability to adjust and amplify speech. Integrates perfectly with my TCL TV. Music rocks and also allows adjustment if needed. Recommend with some reservation.

Made our new tv more enjoyable
I bought this to replace a TCL alto6+. The alto 6 had great bass but my wife and I could barely make out the dialog. There were no adjustments you could make and the dialog was just muddy. Enter the Roku soundbar. Wow. It doesnt have the big booming bass since it doesn't have a separate subwoofer but it has more than enough to make action movies fun to watch and the sound clarity is EXCELLENT. Not only is dialog nice and clear but foot steps, splashing through puddles... it is just a nicer expereince and I didnt think the tv speakers were pretty good as is. This is just better. You get most of the settings that came with your TV available for the soundbar so you have leveling, dialog enhancer, and the rest but it adds a treble and bass adjustment too so you can tailor it. Love the sound and my understanding is you can add a subwoofer if you feel you need more bass. We are thrilled with it. Hook up is incredibly easy even if you are not a tech minded person .. you plug it in, press the pair button and the sound bar actually tells you what to do!! Its up and running in minutes. no cables plugs or complicated pairing. Its really a two step process and away you go. If it sounds like I am gushing .. I am. We broke out our movie collection and started rewatching movies we know have cool sound just to enjoy them with the soundbar.

DO NOT BUY ROKU
This soundbar will randomly decide to screech at DANGEROUSLY high volumes in the middle of the night when the TV is not in use. The only solution has been to unplug the device. When power-cycling the soundbar, either through the TV or pulling the plug, it will return to normal for 1-3 days before screeching in the middle of the night again. It will also randomly lose signal to the tv, less than 2 inches away. This started happening after only a year (conveniently right after the warranty expired). Four tiers of Roku support all told me to repeat the exact same steps listed on their website to troubleshoot the issue with no new resolution each time. None of them asked me to do anything different from the previous tiers of support, which leads me to believe they don’t actually have different tiers. In the end, Roku told me that my problem (they identified as the TV which was not correct) would be automatically updated remotely in some unknown amount of time. Meanwhile I’m supposed to just try connecting my Roku device that I had already purchased periodically. This is absolutely nuts. I will never buy Roku anything ever again. They are death spiraling. Do not purchase Roku devices.
