We installed it today on our pier to keep Seagulls from perching and leaving a mess during fish runs. I purchased it because of the shooting sounds with barking dogs - it works well, the birds (at least 60) all scrambled and didn't return. Before, I used to take our dogs out on our long pier to scare them off. I doubt that the remote will shut it off tonight because it is so far away, so will leave it on until the Seagulls move on, but it is is very loud - the water carries the sound all the way into our home - will try turning it down tomorrow. It's set up about 200 feet from our home. Will probably want one of these for our chicken yard as well. Thank you for this clever alarm!

Easy to operate, no tools required. The product matched the advertisement. Would like to have several audios to choose from - human voice - dogs barking - explosion etc on one machine.

I have a problem with beaver building dams and flooding an area that has homes...Management techniques work but are highly labor intensive.The solar motion alarm was put in place at the site where the beaver build the dams.The dogs barking and gun shots along with the blinking red lights have scared the beavers for 5 weeks.This is the longest time the beaver have not built dams.Good for scaring away criminals ...and beavers!

I use this to keep a large raccoon out of my feed bins. I've got the lids secured and strapped but he still found a way to throw the containers around and chew through the straps. I was losing a lot of cat food/chicken feed/sheep feed to this monster. I couldn't put this in the sheep barn, but I put it outside of the chicken coop and moved my feed containers right under it. I laughed because I set it off the first night having forgotten it was there and almost jumped out of my boots. I recorded my own voice screaming at the top of my lungs and yelling for it to "get out of here" and put it on full volume. I also change the recording now every two to three days to make sure he doesn't get used to it and alternate with the gunshot/dogs barking recording. IT WORKS!!!! Now I need to figure out how to keep him out of the sheep barn. I can't use this with the sheep since it would spook them more than the raccoon.

Dear Customer Service, I gave this item a four because it works well when working. The gun shots is kind of a lot, but it scares the possums away from leaving holes all in my yard. I purchased two (2), and one of the detectors just stop working and wont take a charge. This is a recent purchase and not yet a month. I hope the second one last a bit longer.This is my second response. The first response was asking for help.Respectfully,P. CarsonPS: Is there a detector with just barking dogs?

Love the idea of being able to record a warning - you have to speak closely to the mic [about 3"] to get adequate volume on alert - remotes don't work on any of them even after checking batteries and pulling the tabs - sound level adequate - one unit doesn't work although red light shows it's charging and wire charging for 50 mns. changes nothing

A product a must have for pest in your yard.

I ordered two of these. One of them did not work but the other one did. As i’ll previewed how it worked to hear the sound it made I realized that this is a product more for a ranch than a neighborhood. I fear I would give my neighbors a heart attack with the sounds coming out of this product. So I’m returning both of them the one that didn’t work and the one that did because it’s not appropriate for my small neighborhood.
