The following review was based on a price of £13 when I bought the car! Great value at that price, but not at over £50 as currently advertised!I bought this car because my son REALLY wanted a remote control car, but as he's only 5 I didn't want to spend too much money on some beautiful but delicate model car which would break easily. This was absolutely the perfect choice. We live on a fairly rough lane and this car will go through puddles and over bumps with ease, as well as over carpet and the edges of rugs indoors. It's clearly built for difficult terrain rather than for racing, but that's a real advantage. The controls are easy to use and the remote unit seems to work at a good distance from the car. The whole toy is robust (including aerials) so it still looks as good as new. The car needs replacement batteries reasonably often, of course, but the remote unit is lasting well on its first set.All in all this car is fantastic value for money and I would highly recommend it.

Great little car..... while it worked!!! Bought as a Christmas present for my 5 year old and after 6 months of occasional use it is now fit for the bin! (and a highly disappointed wee boy). While it worked it was a fun, fast little car. It worked wee inside and out, on pathways and short grass (if much slower) and ran for a reasonable length of time on a set of batteries and was able to take a good few bumps with no problems but then the car just stopped moving!!! It would run if it was held upsides down but put it back onto its wheels again it would not move!

This isn't as amphibious as we had hoped. The batteries got wet and the thing doesn't really work any more. It's such a shame because it's a lovely sturdy looking thing and the control was very simple. If I was to buy it again I don't think I'd mention the "works in water" thing because it doesn't really.

Works really well and keeps my little person entertained, he isn't old enough to play with it on his own yet but he loves it chasing him and is gettign the hang of the remote surprisingly quickly.The only downside is like most remote control toys it eats batteries.

Bought this for my 2 and a half year old son despite him being slightly under age to understand the remote control. How wrong was I....the left and right wheels drive the vehicle independently which makes it easy to use and he's played with it everyday since Christmas!It is very well built and has taken a few knocks and drops already with no damage and works perfectly.I have yet to test it in water but the battery compartment does look to be sealed well IF screwed into place correctly.I bought some additional rechargeable batteries which are a must for any toy like this but it does seem to last well from fully charged.I highly recommend this for any child aged 2 or above (the adults have enjoyed it just as much over Christmas time too!!)

These RC vehicles are fantastic! I got the Alligator and Shark for my 5yr old and 3yr old sons for Christmas, we took them to a local park with a lake and lots of big muddy puddles - the vehicles were brilliant! Over leaves and twigs, through the mud and even in the Lake! The boys were made up - as were many passers by who actually stopped me to ask where I'd gotten them from! Great fun and robust, even when the dog got a little too interested in them! Easy to control for little hands too. Just brilliant!!

very disappointed with this car ,thought it would be brilliant as we have a pool and beaches are close by and after watching the video thought the kids would love them but first using it thought it was very slow then one go over water killed it now doesn't work at all . waste of money i'm affraid and even more so as we were made to pay import tax when it turned up.
