No, you can go anywhere at anytime, there are no such thing as “go here do that” there are clues given by npc’s but it’s up to you to find the grace points, hidden teleports hidden items and bosses to finish the game expect to play for at least 100+ hours and die frequently. Use a game walkthrough to get you started and select a vagabond as a starter character, good luck!
