About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. GPS-watch for kids How did you come up with the idea for this product? Three years ago my little niece Nikki (7) got lost during our ski holiday. This frightening moment inspired me to find a solution for this problem. I bought several GPS trackers but the quality was unreliable, they all failed. So I decided to bring together a team and develop the best GPS kids watch. What makes your product special? This is the first GPS watch that is waterproof until a depth of 3 meters. It is much lighter and smaller than any other watches of our competitors. KiGO is the only one in the world with GSM cellular connection on 2G and 3G networks. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The development was not an easy mission. Making the watch waterproof already took us months. After 4 years of intense testing and solving problems was an amazing journey. My team of software developers, hardware developers and industrial designers is amazing. I am very proud of this team and we are continuing doing great things.

Not touchscreen...........
My daughter received this gift for her birthday from her uncle, she was very excited receiving this however I have been left a little disappointed. The strap is quite awkward and cumbersome for my daughters wrist. I found it very difficult it set up, its not straightforward at all with not much support. Also the location is not always accurate and the take off alarm always gives false alerts and for the price I would have expected a touchscreen. After further investigation I think that there are much better products out there.

Battery Life was Poor, Then it stopped working
I ordered this for my daughter, unfortunately I had to return it. We got it working on the first day and the product looks great, she absolutely loved it, however after setting it up with my phone and charging it for the required 6 hours, she went to bed with it working, and woke the following morning to find the battery was dead.There was nothing in the box that explained how long the battery is supposed to last for, so I don't know how long it should be or if mine was just faulty. There is a nice feature which lets you know when the watch is taken off, and can be setup to send you a warning/alert, but of course at this point the tracking becomes pretty useless, so you would need to be quick, as your priority is obviously your child and not the watch. Would be good to see some sort of combination of watch and tracker for kids pocket / shoe.We attempted to recharge the KiGo multiple times but the device never turned on again. We contacted the manufacturers who suggested clamping the magnetic charger to the watch with a clothes peg, this didn't work (and to be honest shouldn't need to be done on a launched product). The magnetic charger is a nice touch (a bit like older macbook magsafe chargers) but it is extremely delicate and not as strong as the apple equivalent.Returned and requested a refund... would consider giving it another chance and buying a future generation model of the device once some of the above issues are resolved...
