Get what you pay for
I bought two of these, one for the classroom and one for home. It was easy to put together and is as described. However there are some pros and cons to review if thinking about buying. Pros: - Easy to assemble large enough for smaller to medium sized animals. - Two parts for animal comfort - trays pull out for easy cleaning. - Good price for what you get. - Adjustable lamp holder cons: - Pungent smell from the stain or something that is overwhelming until you either get used to it or it goes away. - the plastic protecting the plexiglass is a nightmare to get off if you pull it off by hand. (I had to use a knife to cut along the edge to make it easier. - wood is very soft and can split when assembling. - The lids don't always line up perfectly. - Appears and cheeply made with plastic hooks to secure lids.

Perfect Starter Enclosure
We got this enclosure for our baby Herman Tortoise and it is exactly what we needed. It has a smaller window on front and side which is actually better for the tortoise to feel protected. Everything arrived in proper condition and it was easy to assemble. Would Recommend for small Tortoises for sure.

Flawed, but nice!
Pros: Simple, cute, cheap, and functional. It's the perfect size for my little red foot tortoise and should last him a couple of years. The light fixtures are a really nice addition and have a decent amount of adjustability. Cons: The wood had a very strong awful smell at first but luckily faded with time. There was some wood splitting and I didn't even bother screwing in the clasps because they felt so cheap. If you plan on connecting two like I did, the part where they connect doesn't have a great seal so you have to be careful with bedding. Contruction: The instructions were very easy to follow, but it was a very time consuming project. Instructions recommend two people and a power drill, but I didn't have another person or a powerdrill... So it took me around six hours to put these together with just me and a screwdriver.

Wish I bought this years ago for my 10y/o Russian Tortoise
Works great, liked it so much I bought a second, removed one end from each side and put them together! Perfect center area, and two ends I fill with "bedding" (the stuff in hamster cages) so Mr Cabbage can be in a cooler side and bury when he wants or lay on his stone under the heat lamp, take a dip in his water bowl, play with his little ball. Definitely gives him more room and is quieter than the large aquarium he used to live in and bang against while walking around. It's a great set up, easy to lift lids and feed him daily or change/clean his cage items.

Endorsed By My Box Turtle
I have purchased two of these GUTINNEEN Tortoise House Indoor Tortoise Enclosure Habitat Wooden Turtle Cages. One of them is for indoor use, with the legs attached. The other is for our outdoor covered patio use, and I did not attach the legs but put it on the patio blocks, because Las Vegas is very windy and I didn't want to risk having it tip over. My Three-toed Box Turtle is a creature of habit and appreciates that both her indoor and outdoor habitats have the same floor plan. She likes to burrow, sleep and go silent for the winter in the side with the solid wood roof. She sunbathes and does her water soaks in the side with the screen top. The craftsmanship and hardware supplied are both good quality, and I was able to assemble them with no assistance.

It's okay
You will need a drill, has a strong smell right out of the box, it's terrible, put it together outside or in a well ventilated area and I would let it sit before you put anything in it. Some scrape marks upon arrival a few pictures above. Big enough for two Russian turtles. I would give it more stars but the smell out of the box and the cheap paint job is horrible.

Good for a small turtle or tortoise
This is perfect for my tortoise. She loves being able to go into the dark area to sleep and come out to get light when she wants
