Follow instructions
I bought this almost a year ago and time just kept getting in the way to use this. Opened the boxes and bottles. I quickly realized the resin was a solid white substance. So I read the instructions and saw you needed to heat up the resin to melt it again. Well I live in Texas so june heat was great for melting. So I put on my back porch for a few hours (close to 90 degree weather with humidity around 100) and it was a liquid again. I was able to get to work making tables and coasters. Worked great! But now I need more.

Looks great
Not sure why all the negative reviews. To be fair the product did harden up in the unopened bottles. I did what was recommended and submerged both bottles in hot water for an hour. It loosened back up and was great to work with. I’m no expert with epoxy but I’m very happy with the finished product. Just as a note, before I started my pour, the two part epoxy was sitting at my house for over a month in the winter in update NY. I’d buy again.

DON'T Buy This Epoxy - Read this review first!!
I have not had to write many reviews here on Amazon based upon something I was truly disappointed in. This unfortunately is one of them.As a note of qualification, I have worked extensively with all manner of resin and composite materials and technologies over the last 32 years. This epoxy is the hardest to work with of all the ones I've ever used. The resin turns into a solid like ice at 60° or less. This makes it very difficult to work with and as a result whatever it is either contaminated with or a low quality version of it, sure is inconsistent and takes forever!I have used this epoxy on multiple projects and have found it to be a nightmare to work with. I've tested multiple iterations of adding or reducing hardener to the overall mixing ratio but the results are the same. Even with great heat, it takes forever to catalyze and completely kick off and cure. Even with extended induction times allowing it to catalyze and begin to cure in the mixing cup, it still takes forever. In bright sun, and an 80° substrate that I was fiberglassing over, free of oil, moisture, etc it would not cure.I applied heat with heat guns, radiant heat from halogen lights and ultimately left a heater underneath the substrate to keep it on track to cure. In anything under 80° constant temperature, my experience is that this resin in excess of 3 days to be able to sand it, and even then, at what appears to be its maximum hardness, it is still excessively flexible and rubbery.Perhaps if you are in a warm climate and need an incredibly slow curing resin for something like a table top, this might be a suitable product. However, given the amount of time in prep work, the small amount of money you would spend to get a quality, tried and true epoxy product like West systems is far and away your best option.Running the risk of purchasing this based upon advertising and maybe a lower price has turned out to be foolhardy and a disappointment. Buyer beware!

Great for diy repairs
Super high quality product. Only thing I didn’t like is the mixing cylinders. I’d prefer disposable ones over plastic containers. The plastic containers get gunk build up and measurements can become inaccurate.

Update
The media could not be loaded. Update to my previous review. The company read my review and reached out to me to resolve this matter. They wanted to make sure I was happy with their product and diligently worked towards making me a happy customer. They sent me a gift card to re purchase their product and I can honestly now say this product is fantastic! The clarity prestine, nearly no bubbles and any that were there were easily removed with very little effort. The self leveling perfect and my item I created turned out beautiful. The resin was fine. The hardner was contaminated. The hardner bottle was only about half full and the bottle was sunken in on the sides. I couldn't find any leaks but when I poured it to use it was brown like ice tea. It worked but I couldn't use it clear I had to add color to counter the brownish color it was.

so far so good
I only used this product once after getting it yesterday. The packaging was the best I have seen for resin. They even put the free measuring cups in a protective plastic sleeve. Each jug was wrapped in plastic and then had a seal on the opening besides. These are the hardest jugs I have ever seen. You can't even squeeze the jug to get the resin to pour quickly by squeezing because the jug is so rigid. Opaque, presumably to prevent yellowing or light degradation. The hardener was completely full, and the resin had a little less. It looked like extra hardener to me instead of getting gyped out of resin. The resin was clear and mixed well. What I poured yesterday dried hard and clear (just a top coat). I guess the real test is yellowing over time and issues like that. I still have yet to sand or do a deeper pour, mix with colors etc. I got the 1 gal kit for about 55 with the coupon. I will update later if the product shows any significant flaws. Top notch packaging usually suggests a quality product.

Not as good as the reviews - disappointed
I am really disappointed in this product. The resin part of the set solidifies so easily you spend half your time heating it up! The temperature range on this stuff is so narrow I feel like it should have a zone usage table like nurseries have for plants! Keeping the components above 77 degrees as recommended in the instructions? I would have to leave it in my garage and lately that would get too hot - unless I keep it in my bedroom, there isn’t any place in my house that warm!I have used a warm water bath to warm the components, and I am using the resin to seal paintings. The paintings are completely cured - at least two to three weeks, so there is no moisture issue there. This is supposed to be self-leveling, I put it on, it looks great, but as it sits and starts to dry, it develops craters all over the painting. I’m talking 1-2” divots all over. A second coat fills most of them, but still develops little dips, if places there wasn’t a problem before (used it on tile coasters and had the same issue!). I’ve used craft resin from Hobby Lobby and never ever had this problem. Guarantee I will never use this again - not even the rest of what is left!
