Classic thrash, one of the best albums by metallica!

This is a great thrash metal album from 83' very happy with item arrived on time brand new highly recommended if you like old school thrash metal

Have this on vinyl from back in the day, just looking the cd version so I could head-bang in the car or around the house…. Wish I’d still some hair though…..!

This is one of my all time favourite albums and in my opinion one of metallicas best. The bass solo on pulling teeth sounds incredible.

I will never hesitate to admit that I have never been a big fan of Metallica's legendary début album Kill 'Em All. But even I have to admit that the bands new remaster re-issue is a vast improvement on the original record. Before we dive into the changes in the albums sound, it is worth noting that my feelings on the music itself has not changed. I still feel that the song writing is quite juvenile and quite silly. I also don't like the lack of variety in style, the band seem to dip from the same well a little too often and the vocals are atrocious. I still have the blasphemous thought that (Anaesthesia) Pulling Teeth should have been left off of the record altogether. The song is nice musically but it really halts the album in its tracks in terms of momentum and it still sounds a little too rough around the edges, even after being cleaned up for this re-issue. Now with this re-issue everything has been cleaned up and has been given a swift kick in the backside. The guitars haven't been given too much of a change. They have a nice crystal clear sound whilst maintaining that delightfully raw sound that early thrash metal fans love and they sound quite excellent, especially during the blistering fast guitar solos. The biggest change is in the over all tone and forwardness of the bass and drums. They have both been brought more into the fore front with this thick sound that really brings a new heaviness to these songs of old. Tracks like Whiplash, Hit The Lights and Metal Militia have been given an extra lease of life and it really benefits the album. Even I have to admit that listening to this album made me enjoy Kill 'Em All more then I have in the last fifteen years of my life. Long gone is the thin painful recordings and in comes a thick powerful sounding beast that should please metal fans new and old. Metallica fans and thrash metal fans who like the early material will do good picking this disc up. It sounds vastly superior to the original recording. It still has problems with the amateurish song writing etc, but it has completely eliminated the poor production complaint. Published by Steven Lornie of Demonszone

I have been a Metallica fan for a long long time, and I noticed that the one album I didn't own was Kill Em All, I didn't think much of this until I saw a review of one of the songs online, so I purchased it, and WOW, I had forgotten how good this album was, great riffs, great solos, great song writing. This album was way ahead of it's time, and I would recommend it to anybody who loves heavy metal, a true classic.

Considering the weight of this album on my life, the expectations for the quality were extremely high. What I'm more impressed about is how well they hold up. No skipping, no crackles in inconvenient places either. Just crisp, beautiful, aggressive Metallica, as it was meant to be heard.

Flawless. Been waiting for the price to drop a little before adding this to my collection, $40 CAD for a single disc vinyl isn’t exactly good value, but I caught it at a reduced price by chance one day. The remaster sounds great on my setup, the best I’ve heard the record sound- the songs speak for themselves, absolute classics that hold up. Hit The Lights/Four Horsemen/Motorbreath/No Remorse/Whiplash/Seek/Anesthesia….I just realized I was going to type out every single song on the record. They’re all bangers! Don’t be put off that it’s Metallica’s first record and production/vocals aren’t up to par, these songs absolutely rule.

La reedición está muy bien remasterizada, mejor que las versión anterior. Solo que hicieron en cartón más pequeño que los Digipack comunes, lo hubieran dejado en caja de plástico, hubiera Sido mejor.

Seit dem kommerziellen Durchbruch mit dem schwarzen Album ist die Metallica-Fangemeinde gespalten. Die einen feiern den musikalischen Fortschritt der Band, die anderen vermissen die Power der ersten 4 Alben. Ich gehöre zur letzten Gruppe und habe mich daher besonders über dieses fantastische Re-Issue gefreut. Zumal es diese Veröffentlichungen nur auf LP gibt; das sollte einem zu denken geben... Während also die Fans der letzten Alben fleißig auf das neue Album sparen (ob die 115€ für die Sonderausgabe gerechtfertigt sind, muß jeder für sich entscheiden), hole ich mir lieber die 3 Neuauflagen und höre Metallica so, wie ich sie am liebsten habe, aber in noch nie gekannter Qualität! So, jetzt aber zur LP: Mehr Aufwand kann man (fast) nicht betreiben, um ein Album auf LP zu veröffentlichen: 2 LPs in 180g-Pressung, Half-Speed-Mastering vom analogen Originalband, hochgepitcht auf 45rpm...Da bleibt (fast) kein Wunsch offen und die 25€, die Amazon dafür haben möchte, sind mehr als gerechtfertig. Hier sieht man, daß wirklich mit Liebe zur Musik ans Werk gegangen wurde, nicht einfach nur, um schnelles Geld zu machen. War die Originalausgabe (ich habe nur die CD) noch so schwach produziert wie die meisten Alben der damaligen Zeit und dementsprechend dünn im Sound, so haut einem die Neuauflage vom ersten Ton an voll in die Fresse! Was für eine Power, was für eine Dynamik! Es ist einfach unglaublich, was man aus 25 Jahre alten Bändern heute noch herausholen kann! Dafür steht man gerne alle 10 Minuten auf und dreht die Platte um. Wem die ersten Alben von Metallica gefallen, der sollte sich unbedingt diese Meisterwerke zulegen. Besser hat Metallica nie geklungen! Das einzige Manko: Ich habe meine erste Ausgabe zurückgegeben, weil die 2. LP vollkommen und sogar hörbar (!) wellig war. Auch meine jetzigen LPs sind nicht plan, sondern leicht gewellt. Aber so, daß es nicht groß stört und vor allem nicht hörbar ist. Trotzdem hatte ich bei einem solchen Aufwand auch eine einwandfreie Pressung erwartet. Alles in Allem ist das aber akzeptabel, so daß ich trotzdem 5 Sterne vergebe. Bleibt zu hoffen, daß sich die Neuauflagen nicht auf die Cliff Burton-Ära beschränken und wir auch das legendäre "...and justice for all!" mit dieser Frischzellenkur erfahren dürfen! "One" in dieser Qualität wäre die absolute Offenbahrung! Und vielleicht ziehen neben Sepultura und Motörhead (von deren alten Alben es ebenfalls fantastische Re-Issues auf LP gibt!) andere Bands nach und wir können auch Slayer und Co. mit solcher Power erleben... Vielen Dank an die Produzenten, die sich diesen Klassikern angenommen haben und dank denen wir sie nun in noch nie gekannter audiophiler Qualität genießen können!
