The ALONEFIRE SV62 Mini 3W UV Flashlight is a handy size and takes a normal AAA battery for easy replacement. The beam reaches across an office or residential room easily. This form factor is easy to carry in a shirt or pants pocket, and the button on the tail cap gives a positive on and off so it doesn't shine in your pocket accidentally. I also like the purple lens housing so I can spot the UV light easily among my other flashlights.

This needs to be used in a darker environment for sure. I purchased this for work to do audits with. We have a very well lit environment and we use high quality black lights. I purchased this to keep on my person since I work in quality control. I tried to use it in the same area we use the other black lights. I could not see this one at all. Yes, I was disappointed and people laughed including me. It isn't intended for what I purchased it for. If you are rock hounding, I would also recommend something stronger. This will be good for me to check for AC compressor leaks in my garage with all the lights off. That is now what I have reserved this for. Do I recommend, that is a strong maybe. It depends on what you need and what your expecting to get out of this little light.

I love this light! It is perfect for viewing fluorescing lichens, millipedes, termites, scorpions, and other organisms. No white light washout but rich, vibrant UV light. Choose this one over the ALONEFIRE SV005 10W LED 365nm--the LED light in this washes out the color and leaves everything drab. The ALONEFIRE SV63 Mini 3W has a UV filter that performs much better for my purposes.

This is not a good rock hounding light. It is 365nm but simply not bright enough to be effective when being held at adult or kids height.

I have purchased other lights like this, but this one is nice and powerful for it's size. Great for showing off a Yooperlite necklace pendant

Makes hotel rooms much more horrible! Small, works, doesn't turn on by itself amongst my gear, so battery lasts.
