This is easier to blow than the shorter one. Practicing is difficult as it is very loud!!

We were so happy when this arrived in time for Sukkot. It arrived earlier than expected and came packaged well. It comes with a really nice and soft carrying case. We have a much smaller one that was easier to blow at first, but with practice this shofar has a beautiful sound. It did have somewhat of a smell, but the smell did not hinder the blowing of it. It is an animal horn so to be expected. We were impressed with the workmanship of this shofar and would recommend to anyone. Well worth the price.

Definitely a very nice Instrument to have and to play, I don't display it but I keep it in a corner of my room, used some essential oils to get rid of the smell it comes with at first since its from a live animal you'll definitely notice some rank stuff coming from it, I used cold water, coffee grounds, and essential oils to get rid of the odor without the odor spray, it was one investment I must say was worth it, a really nice big horn, and beautiful sounding when played correctly. what I did isn't the preferred method of getting rid of the smell it comes with but is certainly working, at first I didn't realize the free bag it came with, I don't know what it says but it was packaged very awkwardly, otherwise it's an awesome horn

Being new to these, I tried to spend less money. I ordered a cheaper version first. I was not happy with it, while it looked ok, it didn't seem quite finished. Smelled really bad, and It was also smaller than I expected. So it learned they are measured by the outside of the curve of the horn.I tried again with this one. I am glad I did. It looks great. Mine has axp 2 and half turns along the length of the horn. It did not smell bad. There was a little bit of one when I started blowing it, nothing like the cheaper one. Sounds good, it may be better than I know as I need a lot more practice with it.

The one I received is gorgeous. It is very easy to blow and gets a very strong tone - actually I can get two tones from it - one that is very close to the small Shofar, and one that is VERY deep, but also loud. It is very heavy and polished very well. Of course it has a smell at first - but that will disappear as it dries out. I can't wait to use it on the High Holidays.
