Re-released in 2009 to mark 20 anniversary of Nirvana's debut album, Sub Pop re-issue the Platinum Certified Bleach. Originally recorded over three sessions with producer Jack Endino at Seattle's Reciprocal Recording Studios in December 1988 and January 1989, Bleach was released in June of '89 and remains unequivocally/unsurprisingly Sub Pop's very favorite Nirvana full-length. The album initially sold 40,000 copies, but was brought into the international spotlight following the release and worldwide success of their 1991 sophomore effort, Nevermind. Subsequently Bleach went on to sell 1.7 million copies in the US alone, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This 20th Anniversary Edition was re-mastered from the original tapes at Sterling Sound in a session overseen by producer Jack Endino. This standard SPCD34 Bleach comes in digipack whilst also being available on zeitgeist defining format du jour CASSETTE SPCS34 and of course SP34. Not plastic casing but it’s Nirvana so idgaf
I thought it was gonna be a plastic casing to fit in with my other CDs and not card but I love Nirvana so much that I couldn’t entirely care.

Bleach est un incontournable pour tout fan de Nirvana. Cet album capture parfaitement l’énergie brute et l’attitude rebelle du groupe à ses débuts. Chaque piste est intense, avec des riffs puissants et un son authentique qui respire le grunge des années 90. Même après toutes ces années, l’album reste frais et percutant. Parfait pour les collectionneurs ou pour ceux qui veulent découvrir l’origine du son emblématique de Nirvana. Un classique à avoir absolument dans sa bibliothèque musicale !

El primer disco de Nirvana es un gran debut. Pero no voy a hablar de su contenido musical. Si no de la reedicion. Está reedicion es muy válida e de decir que la compré después de perder una edición Australiana de época y con está reedicion estoy igual de contento , quizá con un equipo de audiofilo encontraría mucha diferencia pero con mi plato At LP 120 , mi ampli MARANTZ pm 50 y mis altavoces Emerson vintage. Me suena de maravilla está reedicion.
