This is my first laser and am so glad I went with this one over the Glowforge as I dont like to rely on online software to use it. I didn't use the included Gweike software, I just went straight to lightburn which gives you much more control, plus there are lots of support forums for any kind of question you would have. The Gweike support videos are very well done and helped me get my camera calibrated. The Facebook group is also very helpful in any issues you may have come up. I have only had it a couple weeks and got a good grip on what I am doing, I have engraved coasters, cut out acrylic and wood Earrings and even drew up this Glue caddy the second day I had it in lightburn just using shapes and a free online box generator you can find on the Internet. I like this laser so much I pre ordered their new G2 Fiber laser for engraving metals as well, cant wait for it to arrive!

To preface, I'm an Aerospace and Electrical Engineer by trade. The build quality on this unit seemed promising on arrival. However, the SW and API is absolutely horrible. I've had interns build better software without guidance than I've received with this. Every single use starts with hours of troubleshooting. It's working, come back a little late, nothing changes? Doesn't matter, the laser won't fire. Laser tracks, but won't fire? Good luck figuring out why. The laser fires, but is unfocused? Happens after every use, tear the laser apart and soak the lens in alcohol for an hour and put it back together. Poor machined housing for the lens loosens every run. Want to do simple, quick prototyping? Absolutely impossible with this machine.They say they have LightBurn integration, but it won't work with the bridge, so you must rearrange your whole house to have the unit next to your PC. Cutting and camera both require their own USB connection and no way around it. For $3K in 2023, why is this even a thing? The Cloud program they have is the most pathetic attempt at "cloud software" I've ever seen.Shipping was horrible. The crate came destroyed and super late. I am pretty sure I was out of return window by the time it arrived. I had no way of even figuring out where it was and freight company said they tried to deliver multiple times with no indication or communication of doing so. Customer support took no responsibility in helping me find out where it was.Support is nonexistent. Today, I asked about a refund in the live chat and they said they'd connect me with sales. After 30 minutes, I asked when they would connect me and they said "in about 4 hours." You think that would be an important bit of information in a live chat. After waiting all day, still no response.So far no luck getting my money back.

I purchased the Gweike Cloud Pro when I outgrew my Diode laser. While there was a learning curve, I have been very pleased with my chioce. I did have an issue with my machine, support did very thorough diagnostics and help with lots of testing. When it was determined that the machine needed to be replaced under warranty, they qyickly sent out a replacement and have been in contact since to be sure all was well. My only complaint is the time difference with support but in the grand scheme or things thst isnt a deal breaker. I believe this is the best machine available at this price point. I was also concerned about after sales suppoert since I ordered thru Amazon, all they asked was for a screeenshot of my order and a picture of the serial number of the Machine. It was very simple to get technical support and after sales service.

Me mandaron una máquina que no funciona, que ni su soporte técnico pudo hacer funcionar, para el reclamo del retorno del dinero ni el fabricante, ni Amazon se quieren hacer responsables tengo casi 3 meses tratando de regresarla máquina y nadie se responsabiliza he hecho 3 reclamos de la A a la Z en Amazon y no hacen nada para retornarme mi dinero invertido. Y tengo que atenerme a las condiciones del Fabricante, para que pueda devolverme mi dinero. Por favor evitence de estos problemas.

The hardware is really nice! All of the support equipment needed is in the solid metal box -- air assist, water cooling, exhaust fan, etc. It comes with an external exhaust fan and ducting to give it more suction than the internal fan is capable of providing. I think it is really well made and works very well.Where this product falls down is startup documentation and ease of initial use. Their online software is abysmally crude, but does work. The software recommended by them and by the Facebook community is Lightburn -- which is a great piece of software for the price. The problem is the focus is wrong in the software and camera is nearly impossible to configure (even with all the online videos they provide). Lightburn has a setting for "material thickness". I have to enter 14mm to cut 3mm material. This needs to be fixed -- there is no reason people should have to do "math" to cut material (they say to take 17mm-<thickness> to get the offset).Additionally, I posted a question on their Facebook group, but they require approval for posts to show... my post, for whatever reason, was never approved.On the other hand -- when I did chat with them to get help on their website, they immediately put me in contact (via chat) with a tech support person who helped me.In conclusion, I think the hardware is there -- it is very nicely made and works well. Their software is horrible and Lightburn, while it can be made to work well, won't properly let me configure the camera successfully so I can't locate parts on the bed with any accuracy at all.
