Gold standard for a reason
There’s a reason this is the gold standard. Optimum nutrition really nails what a protein powder should be, easy to mix, good macros, and a good taste. If you mix it with milk it really is a like a milkshake, it doesn’t feel like something this tasty can be healthy and packed with protein. It only takes a few shakes in a regular shaker and it’s fully absorbs. The powder is soft and fluffy which makes the shake more watery than thick, this is more of a preference, but it typically leaves you feeling less bloated than some other thicker brands. The tub is big but a lot of it is empty space which they do specify in the description, but is a bit annoying storage wise.If you mix this with their creatine, it completely masks the grittiness of it which is a bonusIt is on the more expensive side for protein considering it’s a purchase you’ll probably have to make often, but you really do get what you pay for, can’t fault the powder at all.

Perfect for nighttime and stops the late-night snacking
I’ve started taking this whey protein at night before bed and it’s honestly been a game changer for me. Knowing my body is getting what it needs while I sleep to help with muscle repair gives me peace of mind, especially on days when I’ve been more active or done a workout. It’s also helped massively with nighttime cravings. I used to find myself waking up and looking for a little nibble in the kitchen but since adding this to my routine, I feel full and satisfied and I sleep right through. It mixes well and doesn’t feel heavy. I actually look forward to it now. If you struggle with late-night hunger or want to give your body a little recovery boost while you rest, this is definitely worth trying.

Awful flavour
I have bought a few flavours including vanilla ice cream and strawberry, as my favourite is mint chocolate from another supplier I purchased a large tub of mint chocolate I couldn’t wait to try this as the other flavours have been fab. However I was to be very disappointed the powder is both tasteless and awful if that makes sense so bad I thought the milk may have turned. I am so disappointed £30 down the drain literally

phenomenal in a smoothie, adequate in water
Optimum Nutrition’s Gold Standard Whey has become my go-to base for a banana-milk-and-peanut-butter breakfast shake—it blends thick and creamy with fruit and nut butter, and the vanilla flavour doesn’t fight the other ingredients. On pure nutritional value (24 g protein, low sugar) it’s hard to fault.Where it slips is mixability in plain water. Even with a proper shaker ball I end up chasing tiny clumps around the bottle; they eventually dissolve, but not before leaving a few chalky sips. In milk or smoothies the problem vanishes, so it’s clearly more at home in thicker liquids. Digestion is gentle—no heavy bloat or sugar crash an hour later—and the tub’s scoop-holder is still the most practical in the business.Bottom line: phenomenal in a smoothie, adequate in water. If you’re planning to shake and run, prepare for some extra swirling; if you’re a blender person, it’s still the gold standard for a reason.

As expected of optimum nutrition
Arrive quickly and we'll protected. Great amount of protein, as expected of optimum nutrition. From what I read and was told, double chocolate was mentioned to taste the best especially for mixing with water. I use an optimum nutrition shaker and it mixes smoothly in only a couple strong shakes. All round great powder!

Tastes like milk
I’m so happy I went with this brand. The unflavoured version just tastes like milk powder if you’ve ever had that and a glass of milk when mixed with water. The Extreme Milk Chocolate tastes exactly as it's named, never needed to add milk and perfect amount of sweetness. Had a lot of indecision choosing between this and the Double Chocolate but i love my current purchase as I heard the Double choc tastes more like dark chocolate while Extreme-Milk is more drinkable milk-chocolate/hot-chocolate tasting. Very lovely 🥰

Widh you guys did birthday cake flavour
Great taste and easy to mix with no belly aches either so definitely a win in the quality department and worth the money on sale. Decent protein content and effective.

Best protein powder on the market
Great value for money. I blend it into my smoothies and I think its the best way to mix it in; this gives the best consistency. Best protein powder on the market, highest amount for each serving, very strong. Its not filling on its own, just a beverage, but when blended, its great as a meal replacement. On my second tub!
