Amazon added a flag to this that it is frequently returned because of the size. I used the dimension sheet in the product image listing and that helped me to see that this would have been a perfect fit. As stated by other reviewers, I also purchased a hammer to get the old base off and very easily installed this in a few minutes. Does its job well and fit within my budget (£25). I've seen quite a few reviews talking about the welds having a 2 year life cycle. I guess I'll be back in two years (or less depending) to report my finding.

Used this item to fix my sons xrocker chair, was going to buy a full new chair, but decided to try and fix it, bracket £15 v £175 new chair! Absolute win!! Thank you Ps. Put bolts in and then tighten all together once bolts are in place, it may seem the wholes are slightly out, but they are not!

BiMi 50137 Replacement Office Chair Tilt & Lock Lever Base Plate Mechanism, Fitted a Corsair T3 rush perfectly. The mechanism is pretty much the same as the one i took off minus a few smaller details. I had to repair a family members chair due to the fact the gas lift cylinder failing and part of the system split the metal so i had to remove the entire cylinder and lift mechanism. Assembly was easy and took a mere few minutes in order to screw the plate onto the chair. There is a slight tilt after the install its minor however, the chair does wobble very slightly. definitely worth the price when repairing a fairly expensive chair. Considering how much Corsair quoted this i felt was a better option and more affordable. Overall fitted perfectly, no modification needed, sturdy and it pretty seemed very similar to the one i took off. Only 4* due to the fact there is a minor wobble other than that its a good affordable option.

Bought this as a replacement for the tilt and lock lever base plate mechanism for my Cherry Tree office chair. Reason for replacing it was the gas lift had stopped working so I had to replace it with a new Tuka gas lift. However, while I could remove the bottom end of the old gas lift from the wheel base of the chair, the top end was firmly wedged into the base plate and simply would not come loose despite using plenty of WD40 and trying to knock it out with a hammer and rubber mallet. In the end, I decided to stop wasting my time and purchased this new base plate which fits into the bottom of my Cherry Tree office chair perfectly with all the screws lined up nicely. The Tuka gas lift also slots into place perfectly and I now have a chair which works great. Height and tilt work nicely and the chair is solid and sturdy. Been using it on my chair for 2 weeks now and have had no issues with it whatsoever. A great buy.

This chair base fitted my office chair perfectly, I checked the measurements before ordering, and what arrived was exactly the same. I had already removed the feet and gas shock so replacement only took a couple of minutes. Very pleased, many thanks.

Great quality and works exactly as expected. Very easy to assemble and when fitted was very sturdy Edited 02/05/2025: the middle where the piston connects has worn down and warped, it would appear that it’s not for people my weight.

This is the correct replacement part, but beware the Sales pitch. It is not as simple a job as made out to be. This is borne out by the fact that there is a very sturdy device on the market made to assist. In any case an excellent way to recycle / repair an office chair whose only problem is the seat attachment. The same remarks cover the gas lift piston which should probably be replaced at the same time.

J’ai acheté ce mécanisme BiMi pour remplacer celui d’une chaise de bureau haut de gamme dont le système d’inclinaison était complètement usé. Résultat : installation rapide et efficacité immédiate. Ce produit a parfaitement rempli son rôle. ✅ Les points forts : Compatibilité parfaite avec ma base de chaise (entraxe standard 150 x 255 mm). Pièce lourde et solide, le métal inspire confiance. Les mouvements sont fluides, l’inclinaison est naturelle, et le levier de réglage fonctionne sans accrocs. Verrouillage simple et efficace : la position choisie reste bien bloquée. L’installation a pris moins de 15 minutes avec seulement 4 vis (non fournies mais réutilisées de mon ancienne pièce). 💡 Grâce à ce remplacement, j’ai évité d’acheter une chaise neuve. Pour un peu plus de 40 €, ma chaise est repartie pour plusieurs années d’usage. 🔧 Je recommande fortement ce mécanisme si : Votre chaise a un pied solide mais l’inclinaison est morte. Vous entendez des craquements ou si la position ne tient plus. Vous voulez un confort équivalent à une chaise neuve sans vous ruiner.

Ein Superersatzteil! Bei meinem etwas über 1 Jahr altem Chefsessel hatte sich die Grundplatte verabschiedet, indem sich die Ösen der Befestigung auflösten! Da die Polsterung und die Gasfeder des Bürostuhls aber noch prima in Schuss waren, suchte ich nach einer Reparaturlösung. Mit diesem Teil habe ich sie optimal gefunden! Wichtig waren die Lochabstände und der Durchmesser der Federaufnahme und diese passten genau. Der Austausch war nach wenigen Minuten geschehen: Vier Schrauben lösen, mit Gummihammer das defekte Teil abmachen. Bitte mit vorsichtigen Schlägen abwechselnd auf allen Seiten, um die Gasfeder nicht zu beschädigen! Das Ersatzteil an den Sitz geschraubt - die Löcher passten exakt - und auf die Gasfeder aufgesetzt. Fest verbunden wird der Stuhl dann durch das Gewicht beim Draufsetzen. Kein Quietschen oder Knarren mehr, die Wippmechanik funktioniert auch gut! Die 20 € für die Ersatzgrundplatte haben sich mehr als gelohnt!
