Don t make me angry. You wouldn t like me when I m angry. Mild-mannered research scientist David Banner (Emmy® nominee Bill Bixby) finds he must offer this heroic warning after exposure to gamma radiation transforms him into the terrifying and enraged Hulk (Lou Ferrigno). Bursting from the Marvel comic book pages into this fully restored and in high definition 16-disc Blu-ray set, The Complete Collection of The Incredible Hulk boasts every episode from all 5 seasons and includes the two original feature-length films and some awesome bonus material. Review: £58.99 for almost 70 hours of fully restored, hi-definition entertainment doesn't make me angry...quite the reverse! - Brilliant series. Terrified me as a child but as an adult, it's simply impressive how definitive and ambitious Kenneth Johnson's approach to the character was, how he rendered a comic book character into a pathos-driven, human drama. There's plenty of action but for me, it's the moving and emotional (and indeed funny) moments plentiful in this series which shine and raise it above any subsequent live action interpretation. Bixby was a tremendous actor and no one else comes even close as Banner for me. As for the Blu Ray transfer and remastering, well, it's pretty darn good. Not every scene looks perfect but it is generally crisp and takes years off the show. The Pilot must have been recorded 1976/1977 and looks excellent. A vast improvement to the DVD transfer which looks understandably 1977. I was waiting for this to come down in price and couldn't wait any longer. £58.99 for the whole series is more than reasonable so I snapped it up. I just couldn't justify nigh on £100 for an upgrade no matter how much I enjoyed the show. The highlights for me are: The Pilot, Married, A Child in Need, Stop the Presses, Prometheus, The First, and Interview with the Hulk. So many other great episodes but these are the cream of the crop for me. The three follow up TV movies are not included but I only really had time for The Death of The Incredible Hulk anyway. Kenneth Johnson had nothing to do with them and introducing other comic book characters such as Thor and Daredevil flew in the face of the entire blueprint for the Hulk series. Johnson was inspired by Victor Hugo and Robert Louis Stevenson and it was really only the Marvel Hulk platform as a vehicle for a psychological drama. This is what makes it so special for me. Review: The Incredible Blu-ray Boxset!!! - Containing all 80 gamma explosive episodes from all 5 seasons, beautifully presented on 16 discs. The original tv series starring Bill Bixby as David Banner mild mannered scientist on the run and in search to find a cure for his inner demon the Hulk. The Incredible Hulk: The Complete Collection Boxset, is beautifully presented in 5 hard cased boxes, thankfully not in the cheap cardboard casings some blu-ray box sets have. It's great to see the series has been treated with respect on it's physical presentation out of the box. Picture quality considering the show was filmed from 1978-1982.... the picture varies from excellent to good, some scenes especially outside really take advantage of blu-ray and are crisp and sharp and looking like new. Though other times the picture quality, can go from sharp and crisp to looking good and grainy from shot to shot. The show did in quite a few episodes have dreamy memory looking back shots, that would give hazily and soft looking feel to the image on screen. Because of the show's budget it quite regularly would use stock footage, which would vary in quality... Having said that, this is the best I have seen The Incredible Hulk show to look and wanted to point out to anybody who's thinking of buying the boxset. Don't expect SUPER HD quality constantly, but at the same time you won't be disappointed with the quality of the episodes picture or sound.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BOXSET!

i would like to say thank you for having this great blu ...
I wanted to get through to the fourth season at least before i posted my review. First off, i would like to say thank you for having this great blu ray set that is not available in the United States yet. So when i saw it being sold on blu ray in hi definition, i just knew i was gonna get this. After watching the first few seasons, i think the quality is very sharp and clear considering the age of this show. What i really noticed was the detail in the clothes everyone was wearing. The clothing was very sharp and detailed that really stands out, and the details on the hulk...it is incredible...no pun intended. You notice the green makeup and lack off it in certain scenes. You just tend to notice more details and even more blotchy green spots on the hulk, which i never noticed on regular dvd or video tape. You can even see the hulk wearing green colored slippers in scenes. But even with all of this, it does not take away from this great set at all...In a way, its like watching the hulk all new again. I have not watched any extras on this set yet, but so far i would have to say that for the price it is well worth it. The only thing i notice really is on certain scenes that the lighting seems to go light and then dark...i dont know if this is on the actually blu ray or just my 4k tv trying to make adjustments. But even with the few flaws that this set may have...i still have to recommend this set very highly to any hulk fans out there...especially when you watch the very first episode...i guess you would have to call this the Incredible Blu ray set. I hope this helps anyone reading this to make your decision to buy this set....thank you so much again for having it to purchase...

Incredible!!
As a few people have mentioned, the jump in quality from the DVD (SD) box set to this Bluray(HD) set is incredible. The bonus features are also really interesting and definitely worth the purchase. Its bringing back so many childhood memories watching these disks. Being in HD you get so much more detail, which does also mean however you notice more when the green makeup isn't quite right or where they missed patches of skin. But who cares, The Incredible Hulk has never looked better. Just a shame they charge so much for this.

Raging green man
The 1977 tv series all together in one collection in 5 cases for each season all have been given a new upgrade and look amazing for tv from so long ago. No CGI and dated yes but if you remember it from your childhood or are just intrigued about what 70’s/80’s tv was like, well here it is. Enjoy.

Memories
I remember watching this great show as a child but never finished watching the entire series so I thought I'd buy and reminisce the great thing about this boxset is you also get the movies which other boxsets don't contain. Video quality is very good and the same for audio quality.
