Can I used to record midi via from keyboards (yamaha) to laptop (all usb connections)?

It doesn't send or receive midi signals but, if you drive your keyboard via midi leads or a usb type midi lead, you can record on another channel in a DAW such as Cubase. I sequence tracks in midi then record each track as audio via the UCA222. I find that I get some light buzzing if the laptop is plugged in so I let it run on its battery for that stage and the sound is clean. Hope this helps.

No. This is an audio interface. It allows you to connect an analog stereo audio source to the computer input, and the computer audio output to a stereo audio device. It sounds like you want a MIDI hub? I use an M-Audio Midiman to connect the keyboard to the computer.

Will this sync the tempo in my keyboard to the one on my daw (garage band)?
