Thinkfun Roller Coaster Challenge - Brain & Logic Building Game - STEM Toys for Boys & Girls Age 6 Years Up

This is a fun game which offers different levels of challenges. My 6 year old was able to do this mostly alone with me sitting next to them. The parts are sturdy and stay in place once there ready for the rollercoaster to roll down the track.

My kids absolutely love this. The eldest works through the set puzzles, picking the complexity based on his mood (can he cope with a Super Hard today?), whilst the younger tends to work just off his imagination. Great for encouraging cooperation, critical/logical thinking, planning, simple maths skills.

Great puzzle! Important to say this is a challenge game, not a toy. Similar logic puzzle to Rush Hour.Can play alone or together.The age range is 6+. Although a 6 year old may enjoy playing it (although would need help), each puzzle needs setting up, and they wouldn’t be able to do it independently, fitting the pieces together could be trick for younger ones too. However, playing with assistance would be fine. Suits older kids too. My 11 year old enjoyed it, and my husband!

A pretty good kit, gives a challenge and resulting 🎢 great to have a variety of structures. Would recommend. Got the impression, the parents quit enjoyed !!! 🤩

A great game to learn and have fun at the same time.Plenty of pieces to make high and intricate rollercoasters.

I got this as a Christmas present. Hence no 'Verified Purchase'. I'm a great fan of Think Fun's puzzles and I have a good selection of them. This one has intrigued me since I saw it and I asked for one for Christmas.It comes with a set of parts, a baseplate and a pack of 40 challenges. It is advertised as suitable for ages 6 up. I know I am quite a bit older than that, but many of Think Fun's games such as "Rush Hour"( Rush Hour Logic Game), Laser Maze ( Paul Lamond Laser Maze Game) and Codemaster ( ThinkFun Codemaster Game) maybe aimed a kids but they are fiendish at the higher levels for everyone, whatever their age.In contrast the puzzles here do not get that tricky. Once you have worked out the maths behind it, most puzzles will take longer to set up than solve. One of the issues is that all the routes are downhill, more or less; there's no rising tracks and so support columns go on in numerical order. All you have to do is figure out how far apart.The best bit is using it as a construction set to make your own rollercoasters. Once again, they can only go down, but there's lots of routes for you to try and it had me wishing for more parts - especially as these fit together so beautifully.I think that Think Fun should look at the gameplay again on this product. Introduce some 'up' track as well as down. Consider giving less information about the supports (i.e, don't tell us how many parts in a support). Maybe consider an expansion pack, they do it for Rush Hour (I have two) that would include bigger challenges. Or maybe I should have paid more attention to the age range, for 6 year olds it would be a puzzle, but I think it would be too easy for older kids.
