Amazon Essentials Men's Breathable Ribbed Knit Briefs with Elasticized Waistband, Multipacks

Having worn these for about a month now I have to say that I'm pretty impressed overall. These briefs are very well made. The fabric is nice and soft and has a decent weight to it unlike a lot of other budget brands. They are cut generously enough in the back that they sit right under my butt cheeks, exactly where they are supposed to be, and more importantly, STAY THERE. The waistband is nice and sturdy and I really like the simple black accent bands and the absence of huge graphics that seem so popular now with other manufacturers. I really don't want to be some clothing companies locker room billboard thanks all the same. The size is right on the money in my opinion and consistent across all of the individual briefs in the package (this has been a QC problem I have noted with many other brands lately) Having laundered them several times now I haven't noticed any shrinking. My waist measures exactly 34" and the medium is just a little snug but I actually like that. I'm also on a new diet and workout regimen that is actually working so I expect to drop back down to a 33" or 32" and they should be perfect at that point. If you are at the upper end of the size range and like your undies to fit a little looser I might suggest moving up to a larger size. Update at six months. My opinion on these hasn’t changed. They have held up very well to constant use and laundering. I honestly don’t understand some of the less than exemplary reviews on these. They are so much better than ALL of the other budget brands and certainly the equal of brands that are four times more expensive. I was hoping to buy some more but see that they are out of stock which is really disappointing. Update to my update. Still outstanding but one observation, I bought a second order once they became available again and noticed that they improved the waist band slightly. The new set is exactly the same size but the waist is slightly stretchier. In other words, it stretches out farther. On the previous ones if you pulled it too far (or were too aggressive in putting them on I suppose) you can over stress the stitching which breaks the threads and causes the stitch to unravel. This was noted on other reviews and it looks like Amazon took note and fixed the problem. LOL, I feel kinda crazy I’m writing an essay on tighty whities but I’m really that impressed :) best I have found at any price. The picture shows the original purchase on the top after about 9 months of laundering and the second purchase on the bottom after one wash.

These fit well , and made well. Only brand I will buy from now on.

Although the brand and style might not be right for those who are too pretentious to wear them, every practical and modest man should have a pack of these in their underwear drawer. LIKES: I like the price, fabric quality, and durability. I also like the darker color assortment, which does not show “colors” that tend to get added to the inside of underwear. DISLIKES Shrinkage: The briefs were a snug butt comfortable (pun intended) fit out of the package, exactly as briefs should be. However, they seem to have shrunk just a tad with age and washing, providing just a little too much support and tightness. In full disclosure, this is perceived shrinkage and is not based on precise measurements. It is conceivable that my derriere has grown, giving the perception of underwear shrinkage. Regardless, I was surprised because most of the tighty whities I have previously worn tended to stretch with age and growth. Flaking: Upon lowering my briefs one day (after about 2 months of wear), I noticed the inside contained little white flakes. I was initially alarmed that I might have “down under dandruff.” After calming myself and investigating further, I noticed the printed lettering inside the back of the underwear was flaking off. Amazon could improve the design by not stamping print on the underwear (especially on the inside). I would rather have a tag (on the outside of the band).

Great combination of comfort and low price. I presume that they are as durable as other cotton briefs, but I have not worn them long enough to comment on that.

I am 5 foot seven and 185 pounds with a 36 inch waist medium fit perfectly. Previously purchased the large, but the legs were way too big.

Might be my new favorite underwear, but it could be better. Good for the price, I'd say. Pros: Decent stretch, very comfortable, full coverage. A bit tighter around the groin, but not uncomfortable at all. Holds everything in place, no chafing. Cons: After a few washes, the "tag" started peeling away. Just as itchy as a normal tag (if not worse), and so much more difficult to get off. Normal tags you can just cut off, but I had to spend 30 minutes picking away at this tag letter by letter. I only managed to fully purge the tag from 2 pairs. I got them mostly off on 2 other pairs, and the last 2 pairs were so stubborn that my picking only made it worse and they're unwearable now. I've had them for 6 months and tiny holes are starting to rip into one of the pairs I wear more often (tag-free). The holes are not a problem yet (hardly noticeable), but run the risk of becoming much worse. All that said, they're very comfortable (sans tags). I chafe easily and struggle with finding pairs that work, but these have been great so far. I can workout, go on hikes, walk through the city, be active on vacation and stay comfortable the whole time. I'll most likely buy them again when it's time for new pairs.

A great fit, and wash well. Sizing accurate, no shrinkage. Support is great and they don't sag or go loose because of no elastane etc. Some reviews say they look hideous, but they look as you expect from this style, they look fine. if you want sexy underwear this isn't it but if you want comfortable, practical, and functional everyday underpants look no further. Even the fly works easily, lots of stretch, unlike other underwear with this style of fly opening where seams can be too tight. On the days where you want to wear briefs or you want something functional i'd recommend these. No one cares really in daily life what your underpants look like.
