Effective and robust
My first cordless vacuum cleaner so I don't have anything to compare it with but it has made life so much easier! It's pretty quiet and very easy to carry around. I like the way you can use the top section separately for small jobs, and that it has extra fittings to enable you to get into even difficult tiny spaces. For example, the bottom edge of my oven door!Charging is easy. Getting used to all the buttons to take it apart or put it together or even stand it up for storage is a bit of a nuisance, but they are pretty logical and seem robust. When you first turn it on it is disconcertingly slow to start but when it starts it has good suction and is effective in removing hair, leaves from house plants, and general dirt from both wooden floors and carpets and rugs. I'm actually very impressed by how much dirt it picks up.

Easy to use vacuum cleaner
The cleaner is very good at picking even the smallest mess on the carpet. It is very easy to use. Has two easy to change batteries. Well worth the money.

Just started using this - it definitely works
Received this yesterday. Fully charged the battery. On boast it doesn't last very long but certainly get the dirt out. I was shocked! I don't really like the bagless dust collector but you can see when to empty. I will clean it after every use. Stores well folded. It has two attachments which fit on the handheld unit, one for stairs & the other to reach up high or do the skirting. It's heavier than the Gtech stick but moveable.

sucking well for the money
Versatile little vacuum. Little flimsy but does the job, one year in no issues at all.Can we washed up until last filter.Well built tbh. If you’re patient it can be repaired if something goes wrong.

The Mercedes of vaccum cleaners
Totally awesome vac cleaner. To be honest, being a battery operated device I didn't thought it would perform that good. I got a small flat which has a thick carpet on 80% of it's floor surface (something I really hate - I hate carpets in general cause they attract too much dust and they are a pain to clean, a British favorite apparently). The Stratos (not the Lancia legendary rally car), does perform! it cleans well and a full charge lasts to do the whole 1 bedroom flat. For larger houses you will definitely need more batteries. What I really like about the Stratos is the intelligent modular design philosophy it has. You can use it as a hand held vacuum cleaner with the provided long nozzle, or attach the floor device that cleans beautifully any surface, including thick carpets. Very powerful although if you use it in full power the battery depletes very fast, the Clean Sense IQ feature helps save a lot of battery power while doing actually the job. Comes with a few basic attachments and more are available through Shark's website, should you wish.My only recommendation would be that the Stratos is not quite suitable for older people as it is quite heavy. Other than that go ahead and order one, you will be amazed.

Worthwhile Purchase!
Okay, I’ve had a shark before and it was good for getting pet hair removal but this is a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. I think I’ve finally found a vacuum that can keep up with two very sheddy Corgis! It will auto adjust suction for densely dirtier areas with a light up meter on the front for the first sensor! Easy to use and store! Really impressed with the quality so far!

Great vacuum
This is a great vacuum for me, my previous one was a Dyson and was far too heavy for me to handle now that I’m older. I struggled to manoeuvre it around the house let alone carry it upstairs. This one is so much lighter and easily moved around. It gets under my sofa and cupboards. The battery doesn’t last ages but can get round a three bedroom house also as I have two I never run out. I thoroughly recommend.

Good but expensive
Bought this unit during the Black Friday Sale Event. It was still expensive for what it was but we needed a lightweight unit due to recent mobility issuesProsCordlessLightweightManoeuvrabilityCompactness of brushbar unit facilitating cleaning in tight spacesPowerful suction (on full power)Easy to empty dust binCheap to run (when charging batteries on off-peak electricity tariff)ConsPoor battery runtimeNowhere to store tools on the body of the unitAvailability of sparesExpensive spares (on the odd occasion they are in stock at sharkclean.co.uk)The unit is great for a quick tidy up or the odd spillage but the quoted battery running time of 1 hour is really stretching it.At best you'll probably get 20-30 mins if using at full power for more than 80% of the time.We live in a bungalow with a total of just 5 reasonable sized rooms, however to clean the property from top to bottom in one go requires 2-3 batteries worth of runtime. The biggest let down is not the unit itself but the Shark spares website. Most of the products are constantly out of stock. I am still waiting for spare filters to become available, it has been 3 months now and still no sign. Also the batteries are very expensive at £80 each!! Occasionally these are available with 10-15% discount on the official Shark Sales eBay store. The unit didn't come with a combined crevice tool/brush but I did manage to get one for £14.99 from Shark. Again expensive for what it is but invaluable for quickly changing from cleaning the top of skirting boards to the carpet at base of boardAlso watch out if you are purchasing the the dual battery charging dock from sharkclean.co.uk. This is an extremely useful unit for charging 2 spare batteries overnight and taking advantage of off-peak electricity rates (if you have this facility from your electricity provider)The dual charging dock costs £20 but unbelievably doesn't come with the electrical adapter to plug into the wall socket!!! This will set you back a further £20 and like many items the stock is very sporadic.Note: don't make the mistake thinking that the electrical charger supplied with the vacuum will not fit the dual charging dock, I can confirm it does NOT.Our main vacuum is a corded Dyson which still cannot be beaten by cordless or robotic cleaners but to be fair the rotating brush bar unit of the Shark, when on full power, probably matches the performance of the Dyson both on hard and carpeted floor surfaces. Also the suction via the crevice tool of this little vacuum is phenomenal and seems almost as good as the corded Dyson
