Used to Be Hit and Miss
Edit as of 9/28/17: The seller reached out to me in an effort to completely fix the situation. Excellent customer service!!In the past, this alarm clock has been so hit and miss of when it will wake me up - I didn't want to wake up too early or too late but since the setting is always just: gradually brighten over 30 minutes before your alarm sounds, I'm rolling over to avoid looking at it multiple times a half an hour before I'm even planning to get out of bed - maybe that's good but maybe it's not.. at least it has a snooze. But sometimes the light is not enough to wake me up until the alarm sounds. Also, be sure to put this where a toddler can't tamper with it and change the settings!Because of the above mentioned factors, in the past I've been late to work a few times but I think I've got the hang of it now. Also, apparently it has no weekend mode so you need to me mindful if it's a weeknight or the weekend if that affects whether or not you want to set the alarm; it can be turned off easily with a simple press of a touch-sensitive button on the front so put this out of the way of a baby. This is a fairly decent alarm clock in its own right otherwise but maybe it's not for everyone.

Read the Manual
Aesthetically, fantastic design! Seriously, I love the look of this alarm. Now, I don't like to read instruction manuals. But, with this clock, it is actually a must. I can normally figure things out without wasting time reading directions, but this alarm clock has a bunch of non-intuitive fanciness about it...Once I read the directions, I noted the various features which I like:First, basic time-telling which is easy-to-read.Second, six different sounds to choose from for the alarm bit. I'm partial to the ocean waves.Third, you can simulate sunrise and sunset by setting the light feature. Actually, I don't like this as much. The morning "sunrise" is way too bright and painful. (But, I don't like mornings, so it is all relative.)Fourth, colors! Seven of them and they are pretty :)This is a good alarm clock. I knocked it down for its lack of intuitiveness, but I'd certainly recommend to those who like reading directions and waking up on time.

This would be great if it actually worked
I rarely give negative product reviews, but I feel compelled to since this one has so many positive reviews and I found it extremely disappointing. To begin with, it did not come with instructions, but with a card with several QR codes that led to poor quality YouTube videos showing someone using the product. The lousy instructions would not be such a terrible thing if the item was intuitive to use and reliable, but it is neither. Sometimes I have to press the buttons really hard for them to work, sometimes lightly pressing is fine, and the last I tried, it didn't work at all. There are a couple of things that I like about the product. When it worked, I actually did wake up to the light before the alarm rang and it was nice way to wake up. The bird chirping noise of the alarm was also pretty pleasant, and it's handy having a digital clock that is easily visible but doesn't seem to disrupt my ability to sleep. Mostly, this product just makes me wish I had a similar product that actually works.

Not happy but I'll deal for now
With out my glasses it is hard to read the time. If it would give exact time - example 7:00 not 07:00. Also I use the radio for my alarm, it shuts off after 5 minutes. All my other alarms stayed on much longer. Would give me time to listen to morning news and a little more. This set up with this alarm clock I'm lucky if I hear morning news. I like the different colors but would rather wake up with a color and not a bright white light. I would send it back but my husband doesn't want the hassle. So for now I'll deal with it.

This clock is great, I didn't think the daylight feature was really ...
This clock is great, I didn't think the daylight feature was really anything special until I tried it. Waking up to light compared to an alarm is so much more comfortable than a heinous beep. The sound alarms are nice and the array of colors can add a nice light to the room.My biggest issue is the user interface being really inconvenient, especially when just waking up. It also doesn't keep the selected color after turning the light off and back on.I wish you could change the color of the time to complement the outer light, but they didn't list that as a feature, so I can't complain about that.

'Waves on beach" sound effect is one brief repeating swoosh that sounds like Darth Vader
Means well, but isn't really bright enough to wake up to unless you are faced into it, IMO. 'Waves on beach" sound effect is one brief repeating swoosh that sounds like Darth Vader. Forest chirps are probably better alarm to wake up to:-) YMMV of course. Controls are clear and design is nice, so go for it if you think the equivalent of about a 25w bulb will be enough.

This seemed like a great idea
This seemed like a great idea, with the fun colored lights and slow exposure to light to gently wake up to. The light doesn't come on gradually 30 minutes before the alarm sound, it comes on full force 100% an hour before, if there is a way to set this with the controls I cant figure it out. The second issue is that the directions state you can use any button to snooze the alarm, however if you use the sound button (because you cant tell when your reaching for it in a sleepy haze) it turns the sound down so that eventually you cannot even hear the alarm anymore. We tried this clock for 3 months and have finally given up on it.

Lost power and Alarm went back to 0000
2d night of using it. 1st night lost power for about 2 seconds and it dropped the alarm back to 0000. ( it has a backup battery) the time stayed correct but the alarm didn't and I awoke near midnight with the light shining and thankfully before the alarm sounded. Hoping this was a one time deal. we'll see and I'll update more.
