Made my old laptop faster. Windows 10 did a number on my old laptop, changing it to and SSD breathed new life into it. for people who dont have an M.2 slot, this is the best option. not good for gaming however.

Super Thanks !! WD replaced with a New WD Blue SA510 drive after earlier purchased drive failed
Purchased in Sep 2022 and stopped working in May 2024 - less than two years. Was working fine so far but one fine day the laptop just failed to boot. On checking it became clear that the SSD had gone dead.Had reverted back to my HDD while i was checking on warranty claims process !!Update: 14 June 2024: Warranty claim is in process. Raised an RMA on the WD support portal and chose the over the counter handover of the oldUpdate: 21 June 2024: Received a new WD Blue SA510 drive in lieu of the old one. Installed on 22June and it runs perfectly.Super thanks to Western Digital for the hassle free and seamless warranty replacement experience.

Produt defective
Defective product was delivered and Amazon customer care states it's non rerurnable. To my surpise produect comes with Prime fulfilled but no return.

Excellent upgrade
I bought this to upgrade my laptop HDD and was well worth it. My HP Pavilion laptop had become extremely slow, and I found the HDD was taking 100% utilization and CrystalDiskmark result was like 60 MBps only. After swapping the internal disk with this new one, the measured throughput was shown as 560 read/ 500 write which is exactly as per WD spec, which is very impressive (more practical result falls short of manufacturer spec). Also the laptop became lightning fast, bootup time reduced to a few seconds, and apps load almost instantly even with 4 GB RAM. I think its worth the extra few bucks to buy a WD Blue instead of WD green as it has some essential extras to give maximum speed, within the limits of SATA interface !
