Best way to build or fill out a stash for cheap
I have cloth diapered for a total of three years and used all types of modern cloth diapers. I have owned dozens of pockets and fitteds, including a few "hyenas" (hard to come by diapers for those who don't know the lingo), and a few all-in-ones (not my favs). After all that, with my second daughter I have settled into a routine of using almost all prefolds and covers. Go figure. These particular diapers I received from All Together Diaper company. The quality of the diapers is very good. I can't tell why they are "seconds." I expect that my daughter will grow out of them soon, but that they would very easily last through several children. I paired my prefolds with Snappi fasteners ( Snappi Cloth Diaper Fasteners - Pack of 3 (Light Blue, Bright Blue, White) and Thirsties diaper covers Thirsties Diaper Cover - White, Large (28-40 lbs) Why use prefolds?1) They're cheap. They are the easiest way to get up and running with cloth diapers or to fill out a stash. Even if you prefer another type of diaper, if you use some prefolds you can go longer between washing diapers. Buying a dozen prefolds will add a day or two between washings, and as we all know, TIME is important to parents!2) They're hardy. When I use prefolds, I don't worry about using the "right" kind of rash cream. I don't worry about leaking, repelling, stains, or snaps coming loose, which are all things I have experienced with other popular brands. Bonus: I have never experienced a poopy "blow out."3) They're not as hard as you think. I started out thinking that prefolds were old fashioned and a little bit intimidating. I would never be able to fold them "right." I actually turned to prefolds originally when I was using some heavy duty rash cream and didn't want to stain my pockets. To my surprise, they were really easy to put on, and if you're using a decent cover it's really hard to go wrong when putting the diaper on.These diapers offer excellent value. Stop thinking about cloth diapering and give it a shot! Most people I know who have tried it have never looked back.

Great for Factory Seconds
I'm using these as inserts for my GroBaby shells. The only "seconds" that I noticed, were that the middles were a little off. And one seemed a little snagged, but that could've been my fault from when I prepped them (I didnt get a good look at each and every prefold). They are extreamly absorbent, and work wonderfully. They prep wonderfully too. I boiled them in pots of water for 30 minutes each batch (I had 3 pots going for 1 doz), and then 1 hot wash w/ detergent in the washer. It beat having to wash 6 times and wasting all the electricity. They "seconds" are just cosmetic reasons for me. Babies poop and pee on them so really, I dont care how they look, just as they get the job done.Hubby said he may have to grab some out of my diaper stash to wash his car. :-)

Got these for cleaning and dusting.
Don't have a baby, but I remember when my children were born (back in the day before Pampers), that once they were out of diapers, these cloth diapers made the best dusting rags and general cleaning rags. That's why I purchased these. Very reasonably price for these "seconds". They work great. A few of them I took apart because the bulky part was a little too thick for what I was using them for.

What a deal!
I've been cloth diapering for 6+ years now, and I've gone through a couple sets of prefolds. I thought I'd give these a shot because $12 for a dozen is a sweet deal, and at the very least I'd have some good cleaning cloths (we use our old diapers on the Swiffer to mop the floor). These are much better than the last set of prefolds I bought! They are thicker, softer, and more absorbant, and the stitching looks perfect to me. I don't see why they are seconds.I haven't tried to diaper a newborn with them yet--I'm guessing they'll probably be a little bulky on a little one. However, they are *perfect* for stuffing the pocket diapers that we are currently using. I'm giving them 5 stars because for the price, quality, and versatility.

Good quality seconds
Great quality and worth the price. After prepping they really quilt up and are very absorbent. I can tell why they are second quality but they work super well and the flaws do not impact the usability in the slightest.

Don’t know why they’re seconds
These diapers are as good of quality as the regular (non-seconds) diapers I have purchased. The only reason I can see that they might be seconds is a seam being slights off or a tag not being sewn on.

So far so good..
We ordered these diapers a few weeks ago for our baby that is due in Feb. 2011. So we haven't tested these out yet but they look just like all of the prefold diapers we have seen. A couple of them are sewn slightly crooked but are still very functional. You probably wouldn't even notice except I examined them when they were delivered. But so far so good...held up to washing well and no loose seams or anything else. All in all a great deal for the cost.

Great for the Price
I know these are factory seconds but they are diaper service quality first and that is obvious. I purchased 36 infant prefolds to use with diaper covers. Of my 36, a couple had loose stitching on the outside hem and in four the thicker center prefold was off on one side or the other - not centered with the stitching. Otherwise, I can't tell they're factor seconds. They have the absorbency of DSQ and that is what matters. And they're very soft.I strongly recommend these for money conscious cloth diapering parents because they are a bargain!
