Is this belt adjustable and could if fit a child (~ 5 yrs old)?

The belt is adjustable and has gripping Velcro closures that allows a wide range of waste sizes. I went online and found a forum where someone said they bought double sided length of Velcro from wall Mart and secured it to the belt this allowedthem to go as small as she needed to fit a younger child! I thought that was a great idea and wanted to bring this to your attention. TThanks again!

Is this belt machine washable?

the Belt is made of 100% polyester however it does not state any care instructions on the label. it is made of similar material used in other weight loss belts and work out clothing. I would assume that it is washable, but you will probably not machine dry it.
