Uncle Goose Constellation Blocks - Made in The USA

I don't typically leave reviews but these blocks deserve a round of applause! They are incredible quality and I love that the size is larger for my 14 month old to hold (and throw) easily :) Will definitely be purchasing more blocks, as well as blocks for my friends with young children.

And so does my 2 year old! Would buy again. I really love the details, they are cute and well made.

I love these blocks! Made in the USA as well as such a high quality.I give them as baby gifts but have a set myself for our grandchildren.

These block are amazing. The best quality

This is the second set of these blocks that I’ve ordered as a gift for a grandchild. I bought the first set for my granddaughter eight years ago when she was a baby. They have been passed down to younger siblings and played with all these years and still look brand new. I bought the second set (lowercase letters) to add to the first set (uppercase letters) this Christmas at my daughter’s bequest for my grandson who is there-years-old. The blocks are beautiful aesthetically and exquisitely made with excellent quality sturdy etched wood and beautifully painted (not stamped). They will last forever and I’m sure they will continue to be passed down to great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and so on. They are of that amazing quality and worth every penny. Incidentally, the price has not changed in eight years. I can’t say enough nice things about this product.

These are exactly as you remember them. Beautiful, real wood, carved and printed in nice primary colors. That said you must follow the cleaning instructions exactly. I bought a new set because the older set, also uncle goose, were ruined when stored for sometime using tape to hold them on a wood wagon (which was how they were sold at the time. The tape left a sticky residue on the top of the top row of blocks. Only goo off would remove the residue and it also removed the color on the stamped blocks. The carved side is fine, see pic 1. But the stamped side was ruined. This company does sell replacement blocks. In my case so many were ruined it was worth buying a new set. It was my own fault but still. Keep the blocks away from anything sticky and follow cleaning instructions exactly. Never clean with a chemical cleaner like GooOff. My new blocks are exactly like the old ones, except a few pictures are slightly different. They are the same size and fit in the old wood wagon exactly. Thank you for making this wonderful classic toy.

Of course I knew going in on purchasing them that they would be. I scoured the reviews and also took note of the info above saying it was basswood, I didn't expect these things to be rock hard because they're not made from oak or something (which would probably be more pricey anyway)I just wanted a nice set of wooden blocks for my youngin'. They're all about stacking things and their ABCS and 123s and animals and colors right now, and these fit the bill perfectly. They love them (perhaps a bit too much!) and I love playing blocks with them. This set has plenty of learning potential which is fun too. They're nicely made, nicely packaged, and the embossed letters are really cool.Of course, regretfully I did have to ding a star for the durability. As I said I didn't expect these things to stand up perfectly to a rambunctious toddler who wants to stack them 4 feet high, because it's basswood. But it's something that parents should consider when shopping around for toys for their kids. The wood is a bit soft and I wouldn't recommend these be left out or used for unsupervised play just as a precaution, especially if you do indeed intend them as an heirloom.Overall I think the product is good though. The quality put into the prints and embossing really impressed me, just have to be mindful of the wood itself.

My Husband and I are very happy with our Uncle Goose blocks. They are beautiful, good size, and feel nice to hold. We hope our baby will be pleased with them too.

These are amazing blocks but retailer/Amazon stuck shipping labels on the box so has made it less great for giving as a gift.
