Works well with Drinkmate cylinders. Do your research on how to fill a bottle safely.
TLDR: This adapter works very well. I purchased a 6.35kg food grade CO2 bottle from a local Adams gas distributor and have refilled two Drinkmate 410g CO2 tanks so far using this adapter. Be safe, dont overfill small CO2 bottles (the 60L ones are 410g max fill weight) and do this outside in a well vented area. Adapter comes with spare washers/seals and looks well made. This adapter is designed for the traditional Sodastream blue (threaded) connector and the Drinkmate (same screw connector). It's not designed for the Sodastream Pink quick-connect. Look elsewhere if you use those bottles! Some points to note if you're new to this.1) If you're filling Drinkmate cylinders, they do not have an anti-fill valve on the cylinder, so you can take the centre pin out of the adapter using the supplied alan key (it may restrict flow otherwise).2) Check if your large cylinder has a dip tube or not. If it has a dip tube, you leave the big cylinder stood upright when filling. No dip-tube and you need to tip the big CO2 cylinder upside down when filling to transfer liquid CO2 into the Drinkmate CO2 bottle.3) Make sure your Drinkmate cylinder is completely empty (push button on Drinkmate when outside, venting the last tiny bit of CO2 to the air, until it no longer hisses) then weigh the completely empty bottle on digital kitchen scales and note the empty weight. ## Very Important ##4) Put the Drinkmate cylinder into the freezer overnight. Liquid CO2 will transfer better when the source bottle is at room temperature and the destination bottle has been frozen ie -18C.5) Take the Drinkmate cylinder out of the freezer, attach the adapter to the big gas bottle, nip up with a spanner, and attach the small cylinder to be filled to the other end of the adapter and make sure it's modestly hand tight. Take all this to a well ventilated place, ideally outside, and slowly crack open the valve on the big cylinder (with the big cylinder upside down if no dip-tube fitted), allowing it to fill the smaller one. Do this really slowly if filling a Sodastream branded bottle as many of these have an anti-fill valve which slams shut if you refill the cylinder too fast. As the hissing slows down, close the tap fully on the big cylinder. You don't want to overfill the small cylinder (see point 7).6) Make sure the big cylinder tap is completely closed. Quickly unscrew the small bottle from the adapter (I find this easier than using the thumbwheel vent on the adapter). When done quickly, the valve on the small cylinder closes promptly, like when you remove the hose when filling car tyres. Sometimes it might stick slightly if the valve iced up during filling, hence doing it quickly should close the valve in an instant.7) ##Important## WEIGH the small cylinder on digital kitchen scales and subtract from that, the weight of the cylinder when it was empty. It MUST NOT EXCEED 410g for a 60L cylinder. If overfilled, attach it to the Drinkmate machine immediately & use the gas to carbonate some beverages straight away, or release some gas outside, then re-weigh the bottle and repeat if still overfilled. It mustn't have more than 410g CO2. If it's overfilled, as the small CO2 bottle returns to room temperature, the pressure inside the bottle will increase & the burst disk on the side of the small cylinder neck might blow, venting all the CO2 out of the bottle. Weigh when empty, then weigh once filled and make sure the difference is below 410g. Don't store the CO2 cylinders in a hot place either!

Perrfect
Foes exactly what it says it does. No issues at all.

Useless.
Fits tank and cylinder fine. However, the soda stream release pin must be set BEFORE you attach the cylinder meaning a significant burst of gas is released when you unscrew it from the adapter. Why can't someone invent something across between the hose device with the external adjustable valve release and this pointless article. Very expensive pointless article.
