Once again, their Tech support is the best
I've got lots of VFDs. Recently one of them powering an older 5 hp Oliver table saw starting erratically not working at my ranch shop. I assumed it was a Mollom and emailed Jeff at Mollom about it. He immediately offered to replace it. When I actually checked the machine, it was NOT a Mollom, lol. So, I just ordered a new VFD for the saw, and replaced the big name VFD that was on it with a Mollom. Because of Jeff and Mollom's absolute standing behind their VFD's, I always try to buy them. Yeah, I could technically have gotten away with something smaller than a 7.5 KW for 5 hp. But I know the reason for the other failure, (jeff opined that it was a capacitor problem) was overloading the VFD when bogging down on a cut (The saw can run a 16" blade). We all know that Mollom doesn't have great manuals. But the Devices work very well and the service is impeccable. Any problems or questions, they answer the same day.

Excellent value and features for money. Outstanding customer support!
I bought this unit to replace an old and expensive VFD by MagneTek that was no longer manufactured. The MagneTek GPD 503 Model DS309 was going to cost over $1000 to possibly repair it and cost over $3000 new if you could find one. So I thought I would try this unit. Before purchasing this unit I sent a request to the seller with some technical questions and he responded in less than a day. After purchasing and receiving the recommended unit (model VFD 220V 7.5KW 32A 10HP) I asked for configuration information for my motor (230 VAC, three phase, 19.2 amps, 1755 RPM MagneTek motor in a commercial boiler system) and within less than a day got a response back from technical support with exact parameters for my motor. I connected it up and it worked, but the motor was noisy. Another message to support was quickly answered with the suggestion to increase the carrier frequency. I did so and the noise was dramatically reduced. (I increased the carrier frequency from the default of 4 kHz to 8 kHz using F0-15.) I then asked about terminal control of speed and quickly received a reply.Overall PROS:- excellent price/value- lots of configuration options for any application- flexibility- dual display- outstanding customer supportCONS:- no UL or CE listing marks- no cable/conduit management knockouts (I needed to cut a hole in the top to route control cables cleanly)- cooling fan runs full speed whenever the motor is engaged...noisy and make me wonder how long it will last.- requires time to get all options understood and set up, but support is very helpful.

Great for the price. Support was good
This the 4th one of these we have purchased over the last few years. As of today we’ve had no problems with any of them or the machinery they serviceEasy to installHad a question regarding wiring with a braking resistor. Sent an email to support which was answered within 12 hours explains exactly what I had to do to achieve what we neededSo far so good……Would buy again

Seems to be a good working VFD for the money. Will update if anything changes
Worked with out having to change to many setting and does exactly what it should. There are a lot of setting and configurations. More options then one might know what to do with. The only thing that I was not able to figure out by reading the manual was the Single Phase wiring. They say to connect to L & N but those terminals where not there. I connected instead to S & T and it works fine. Also figuring out which of the parameters I needed to change to get more than 50hz took a minute to figure out. After that it works great and the soft start / ramp feature helps with my limited available shop amperage.

A good VFD but an incredible support network!
Language barriers always persist & this is no exception. A combination between really reclusive ee engineers & their cryptic manuals & the over use of hieroglyphic icons make comprehension very difficult for even dedicated DIY. Add to it Chinese conversion to english syntax & you'll feel like your on a river in a canoe with no paddle. The saving element is "Jeff". Not sure if this one person or a crew but he/they are completely commited to providing any & all answers in the shortest response time I've ever experienced. It's for that specific reason, I'll buy another VFD from them again & again. I'm not a potential customer for an $1100 VFD from Schneider or Eaton. If that were my only choices, I never would have bought the old metal lathe in the first place. So Mollom is fill a void in the market & there's no need to compare them to the mfg. I mentioned above, that was never Mollom's goal, this is a product for a different market audience not an alternative to the same audience.

There is no L and N input anywhere!
2 stars cause I cant use it still! I'm super frustrated the instructions say 3 phase goes to RST while single phase goes to L and N but there are no L and N inputs. If L and N goes to 2 of the RST, why wouldn't you say which ones???? I'm ready to send back just cause of this!!! The sticker says it accepts single phase input!
