In the 1980s Stalker was one of the original members of GI Joe and in both the comics and the television show was often given a significant number of important roles on the various missions the GI Joe team would be sent on. He was a character with a lot of nuance and often served as a narrative guide who caught younger readers up to speed about the nature of both the real world and the abstracted version of the world he and his fellow GI Joes occupied, where a criminal, almost terroristic organization like COBRA could constantly attempt to take over the world through super science weapons of destruction and preying on human weaknesses of greed, corruption, indifference, fear and a taste for violence. But so much for history. A little over 40 years later this Stalker spent a lot of time as a peg warmer on the shelves of various retail stores and I think once you get past the nostalgia factor, he's an excellent update with a lot of personality that was arguably missing from many of the earlier waves of figures when the Classified line was coming out. I think he makes an excellent baseline figure for evaluating how many of these figures you might want to collect over time, as he has almost all of the major modern selling points of the line you can ask for. He is a figure who can carry ALL of his equipment. You don't need to find a safe box to put excess gear. He comes with a pistol with a silencer, a SAW, and a submachine gun which fits into a backpack, and a knife. So you can put him in a wide range of action positions and he has a good amount of articulation. With later Joes in this line you can switch hands, but not in this instance but it is possible to switch his head with others of a similar size if you're into customizing your figures. His face has a lot of detail, end he has a removable beret and it all adds up to figure who has a lot of history. it's a little irritating getting him out of the plastic but no more than any of the others, really. The box art is all right but may not be something many will hold on to especially compared to the packaging for others. But overall if you're putting together a scene where you want a Black special forces soldier with a relatively current combat uniform, it's hard to beat this introductory figure. A solid baseline. There are others who come with more gear or have more fame and ease of recognition or special items like blast effects, but if someone was curious how good this new generation of GI Joe your is, take a look at this figure and all of the detail be comes with.

Its GI Joe what more needs to be said. Brand New, High quality, Better size than the 3.75" figures, Worth the money. Highly recommend.

Right out of the box, this figure slaps! A truly excellent representation of Sgt. Stalker. The figure offers the best of what we’ve come to expect from the Classified Series. Excellent articulation, solid paint apps (some may vary of course), 4 weapons, 1 knife and 3 guns (not nerf blasters), all 3 guns have attachments, he has holsters for his weapons and attachments, a removable beret, removable shemagh (mine came with 2), and a really nice headsculpt. Nice job, Hasbro. Certainly one of the best heroes, or best figures in the line thus far. Definitely get one if you’re interested.

Great accessories!!!

These are ok, but definitely not as durable as the good old days. My grandsons can have these broken in a couple of hours. With that being said, they are touch little guys & can be a bit destructive. There are so many small pieces to get lost or misplaced.

I bought this at close to retail and my only regret is that I didn't wait. The prices on this figure have tumbled ridiculously and I'm not sure why. It has the usual style and posing ability of the Joe Classified figures I have come to love but with the added value of coming with a whole arsenal of weapons. This is better bang for buck than other Classified figures at the same price.
