Reliable Gigabit Adapter for Raspberry Pi with OpenWRT
I bought the TP-Link UE300 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter to add a second network interface to my Raspberry Pi running OpenWRT, and it’s been working perfectly.OpenWRT required the kmod-usb-net software package, but once installed, the adapter was detected with no issues.Delivers full Gigabit speeds without any slowdown.Compact and sturdy design, easy to fit into tight setups.Excellent compatibility with Linux-based systems like OpenWRT.Great choice for anyone looking to expand networking options on a Raspberry Pi.Solid performance and reliable connectivity.

White version works
The white one works at 1Gig Full Duplex but the black one came up Half Duplex so will be sending that back.Doesn't seem reliable as a direct virtualised server interface but fine for a Linux bridge

Great when you Need One
Great and gives expected max speeds of around 900mbps. No driver issues, and if you are experiencing lower than expected speeds it is probably because you are connecting to a USB 2.0 port. Great for laptops that have no ethernet port, but if your device has an ethernet port (from the other devices I have tried using this with) it won't work, but you would have no need for this anyway. Good value and nice and sleek design. Great product.

Reliable wired connection
The TP-Link UE306 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter is a lifesaver for work, especially if your device’s Ethernet port is damaged. This compact, plug-and-play adapter delivers fast, stable Gigabit speeds—up to 1000 Mbps—perfect for seamless video calls, file transfers, and reliable connectivity. I love how it instantly replaced my broken port, requiring no extra setup on my system. A very good product—highly recommended for a dependable wired connection!

Times my speed by 10x
Plug and play works great my Wi-Fi signal was terrible in upstairs of house. Got a power line plug and this now running 10x the speed I had before.

Works with Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch has notoriously bad Wi-Fi receiver. If you can use an ethernet cable from your router to your Switch dock then it's worth doing that with this USB to ethernet adapter. It gives better performance than the official HORI adapter that's capped at 100mbps anyway.Does not work for LG TV - some folks were using adapters like this for their TV's but I think an LG TV update stopped devices like this from working with their TVs

Faulty - do not recommend except for basic browsing
Unfortunately the adapter (mostly likely the driver) is faulty. I replaced my original one, assuming it was a singular faulty unit, but my replacement had the same issue - massive ping spikes and connectivity drops. For everyday browsing, this adapter has great speeds (800mb/s+ out of a possible 1gb/s) but for gaming, streaming or any other ping- or connectivity-reliant task it fails. It will randomly spike up to 200-500ms ping times, usually 2-3 times in a ten minute period. Occasionally, the ping delay is so long that the connection drops entirely for 3-4 seconds, making it unusable for anything but downloads and browsing. No other adapter I've used has had this issue.TP-link's support person was as helpful as they could be, asked for logs, etc. but ultimately couldn't actually fix the issue as it's on their end.The cherry on top is that 4-5 months after purchasing, it simply stopped working. The light won't come on and it isn't detected by my PC.Overall a massive disappointment as if it had worked, it would've been perfect - especially for the price. Can not recommend. I am currently using a slower TP-link nano which has been great, but I will be looking elsewhere for a faster adapter
