A visual feast of beautifully preserved and restored etchings from master Italian engraver Piranesi. Each page is packed with high quality, black and white line etchings showing the grandeur of Roman Architecture through the ancient archival form of engraving.Page after page of stunning images.I really enjoyed the introductory notes from author I. Johnson chronicling Piranesi's life and his contribution to archiving the great Roman empire's architecture.

Text is hardly readable and the images are in really poor quality. Unfortunately this version is almost useless for me. Will try on other mobile devices but I guess it will be the same.

A great addition to any library.

Very nicely done. However, the content is not as extensive as I had hoped.

The photo made it look like a bigger and better bound book than it is. Black and white. It looks like like it’s photocopied. And not much at that. A waste of money and time.
