Vornado Pivot Personal Air Circulator Fan, 6-inch, Quiet Portable Travel Fan, 3 Speeds, Champagne

This is a great small fan, on the low speed. It is very quiet, but on the highest speed it’s louder than you think. I wanted it to use for a moth orchid, just to help circulation around the roots. It doesn’t take up a lot of space, and just moves a perfect amount of air…

I was using the Vornado Mini Classic Fan in my bedroom and, while the fan action was fine, the rattling noise when on high wasn't tolerable for sleeping. Terrible sound. So I purchased the Pivot Personal Vornado fan to use instead at night and it is FANtastic! The fan is very flexible with regard to pointing up & down and the little rubber stoppers it came with are excellent at keeping the fan from sliding around (don't make a mistake and toss them out). As for fan action - terrific, couldn't be better! I position the Pivot on my dresser, which is a minimum 6 feet (maybe 7) from the head of my bed. Both medium and low are perfect for blowing air my way while I sleep and keeping my bedroom from getting stuffy during the night. The airflow is strong! Honestly, I could easily live with the low setting being slightly lower but, not a big deal. The high setting is great for really hot days and the occasional very warm night. For a "personal" fan, this one is plenty powerful and I would not hesitate to purchase it for a small bedroom, yet it is quiet- no problem there, at all. The fan is so cute and classy looking, it adds to the decor of a room, rather than taking from the decor. Mine is the copper/white fan. I strongly recommend Vornado, especially the Pivot Personal Fan.

Good: - Hefty and sturdy, seems to be made of great materials. The dial feels "right" - Handsome/sexy; look exactly as advertised - Quiet, with a smooth and pleasant hum Meh: - I wish it pushed a bit more air, but I think it's doing ~as good as it can given it's size. I would suspect the larger models are worth the asking price. Sleazy: - While I'm happy to know that Vornado is based in US and that their customer service team is here as well, I find it disingenuous to advertise these facts so prominently in their marketing and on the product packaging. If you want to earn the virtuous status you're projecting, manufacture your products somewhere other than CHINA, or at least have the decency to feature "Manufactured in China" in the same place you feature "Designed in Andover, Kansas" rather than relegating that caveat to the bottom of the box and marketing copy. Conclusion: - A great product that's easy to recommend. I'm just sick of all the pandering and I'm docking a star for it.

This fan was a TERRIFIC choice and a perfect fit for my needs. It is small but powerful. It is VERY quiet and that was critical for use in my bedroom for overnight air circulation. The design is quite contemporary and attractive. The materials are high quality and the construction is solid. I'm extremely happy with this unit. I have previously owned other larger Vornado fans and relied on this brand's past quality as I selected a new fan. I have no complaints and am delighted with this unit.

Quiet, powerful, small, quality, great value for money, cools the stuffy room. Perfect for guest room!

EDIT SIX MONTHS LATER: After running this fan on full-strength for ten hours a day five days a week, the fan's motor is starting to burn out. The fan is definitely pushing a burning smell at my face today, and it did not do this yesterday. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ This fan does exactly what I expected it to. It puts a small breeze into my face over the entirety of a workday. It is perfectly desk-sized, and It meets my needs perfectly. This is much quieter than my coworkers' desk fans (a Hawaiian breeze and an Insignia), and it puts out a comparable amount of air. It looks much better than theirs; the sculptural quality and color is a good fit for my desk. I am only a day and a half into ownership of this fan, so I can't comment on the product's longevity yet. I'm mostly writing this review because there were a lot of other reviews here saying "doesn't push much air, do not buy." This is Vornado's smallest fan, so what were you expecting? If air flow is a big deal to you, I would size up. This fan is the right amount of air for "I use the stairs every time I use the restroom which makes me a little warm, but my office's AC is otherwise pretty good." This is not the right fan for "my AC is not fine". I bought a fan this small because I wanted it to be a cute little sculpture on my desk too, and any larger would have looked weird on my desk.

This is a small fan that puts off a lot of power for being so small. Which makes it very versatile because it can be used in a bedroom next to your bed or can be used at your desk. I will also use it to take on road trips because I need a fan to sleep and too often hotels don’t have them but this is small enough to throw in the back of the car and bring it with us. It has 3 different fan settings to customize what you need. I also love the way it looks, it is classier looking than your run of the mill black plastic fan.

I'm not sure what others are complaining about in these reviews...this fan is compact, super attractive, not loud at all, and it moves plenty of air. This thing sits 2 feet away from me on my desk and it produces the perfect focused stream of air that keeps me cool, but is still so well directed that it doesn't bother my hair OR the papers laying on my desk. It does not vibrate or buzz like the cheap Honeywell I used to have, and it does not "wander" around the desk, either. The base is cute/interesting, and the rubber rings around it DO keep the fan securely where I put it. I'm wondering if other buyers are expecting it to move as much air as a floor fan - and if so, they are not being realistic. As a floor fan or a serious air mover, this will disappoint you, because it isn't designed to be a serious air mover. It's designed to be the perfect desk fan, and in my opinion, they nailed it. I have yet to need it on more than a 1....and 3 makes my shirt flap in the wind.

buen ventilador de escritorio, ya tengo bastante con el y sigue en el mismo estado en el que se adquirio. por aquello de que en reviews indicaba que con el tiempo se hacia mas ruidoso. eso si la potencia es moderada

The fan seems like a good, solid piece of machinery. However, although on the UK website, the fan is shipped from the USA and comes with a US plug. I was unable to use it and am returning it.

Muy lindo diseño. Parece una turbina de avión. Y es potente para su tamaño. Lo recomiendo.
