Our Spinners are made especially for figure skaters, ice dancers and dancers! Our unique wooden spinner allows skaters and dancers to work on positioning and mainly gives them the ability to practice their spins off the ice. The Step and Spin spinner is made from top grade select pine and is preferred by coaches and skaters over the plastic, square and circular competitors spinners. This spinner works on any smooth surface and is so small your skater or dancer can take it anywhere! The spinner should always be used in an open area free of furniture and always on a hard surface such as wood floors or linoleum, If you are concerned about your floors you can purchase a scrap piece of linoleum from your local home improvement store. We strongly recommend that you do not take the spinner outside to use such as in a garage or sidewalk unless your dancer or skater continues to use on these surfaces--the reason for this is because the wood will pick up tiny rocks, dirt and debris and will more than likely scratch your hardwood floors. Instructions for basic use will come with the spinner. Allow at least a week for your dancer/skater to get use to the feel of the spinner. It takes time to find their center balance but after they get comfortable with it they will be doing all kinds of spins and even jumps before long.
