In my mind I thought it might be ceramic or a thick plastic,but instead it was a thin plastic, thinking if people would use it theywould have to be so gentle so the condiments wouldn't trickle out.Was hoping to use it as a centerpiece for my next BBQ.But now a lot less excited about it
