This tapestry cushion is part of a line of three cushions showing famous statues. This one shows The Fall of Achilles, who was a Greek hero of the Trojan War and the central character and greatest warrior of Homer's Iliad. His mother was the nymph Thetis, and his father, Peleus, was the king of the Myrmidons. It was designed by co-owner Sabine and is woven on a jacquard loom. Tapestry design is a craft that only a few master and Sabine is one of them. She starts from a high resolution image, which she scans and then comepletely reworks it until it is ready for weaving. Averagely, the "cleaning up" of an image takes between 12 and 16 hours. Respect ! The cushion is woven with 100% cotton thread. It is lined with a plain beige cotton backing. We finished the cushion with the Yapatkwa label, your guarantee for a 100% belgian quality product Size is 48x48 cms (19'x19').
