Love this game!
My kids love this game! This game was great for my 4,5, & 6 year old. They knew allot more words than I thought. 4 year old got 37 5 year old got 36 and 6 year old got 37! They are all on the same level of reading so it was a real competition! They were all given a prize for 1st 2nd and 3rd place. They are begging me every day to play this game. If your kids are at different levels of reading you could still use this and reward them if they reach a certain amount. I don’t think that my kids need the reward to enjoy this game but it makes them want to learn to read allot more! Bottom line: kids love it, I love it, would buy again. Also, the pieces are very thick and the swatters are sturdier then I expected (A+)

Great quality. Super fun, Silly and educational.
This game is great. The game pieces are super sturdy and thick. This game is definitely made to hold up to all the swatting of the words that goes on😂 Directions are super simple and give a few options for how to play and how many words to use at any given time. We made an extra game of who can play with the most words so my kids would be engaged longer and want to learn more words. The words are double sided and color coded so it’s easier to pick out simple words for younger kids and harder words for older kids. Great resource for kids with a learning disability as I have one with autism and another with dyslexia and this game has made learning from home fun and engaging for them. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is homeschooling, wants to encourage extra learning from home or even families who just like game nights. Super fun, silly and educational

Engaging and Educational – A Hit for Early Readers!
Pros: • Interactive Learning: The game turns sight word recognition into a fun, fast-paced activity. My kids love the challenge of “swatting” the correct word, which keeps them engaged and eager to play. • Color-Coded Difficulty Levels: The cards are color-coded to represent different grade levels, making it easy to tailor the game to each child’s reading ability. This feature is particularly helpful in a multi-age household or classroom setting. • Durable Components: The swatters and cards are sturdy and have withstood repeated use. The quality of the materials ensures longevity, even with enthusiastic players. Cons: • Limited Swatters: The game includes four swatters, which can be limiting if more children want to play simultaneously. Additional swatters would be a beneficial inclusion for larger groups. • Card Separation: Some users have reported that the word cards can split or peel over time, especially with heavy use. While this hasn’t been a significant issue for us, it’s something to be mindful of. Overall: This Game is an excellent resource for reinforcing sight word recognition in a fun and engaging way. It’s suitable for both home and classroom environments and caters to a range of reading levels. Despite minor drawbacks, the educational value and enjoyment it provides make it a worthwhile investment.

Great Game
My daughters enjoy this learning activity. We have made it a game, and they both enjoy playing it a lot. I got it on sale, so it was worth the price! It is easy to play and can be made into lots of different games. The bean bags are cute and it is helping to learn sight words.

Good
My students are motivated to learn sight words because of this game. The squatters bend easily though. Effective teaching tool overall.

Colorful & fun; keeps child's interest ...
My grandchild is in kindergarten this year and loves to smack, hit, punch, slap, kick things; so this is a perfect little game with *learning potential. We play our own version: I show him a fly on one side and if he can read the word (even with minimal help) we put it in an "able to identify" pile; all other ones (unknown, currently) go back in the included zip-lock bag. After we accumulate all my grandchild can read I have him spread them out on an "off-the-floor" flat surface and then smack (with one of the four different colored swatters) the ones he believes he can read/remember, if he does indeed read it correctly he gets to flick it off onto the floor. The swatting & flicking makes it more fun for him. We go through all the words he reads/says correctly, the others (he may forget) we go over again and then repeat the process until he finishes them all. We *add a new fly in the mix when possible. (When we can include some other players this will make it even more fun). Great game for learning and giving as gifts to *beginner readers.

I was tossing up between this sight word game and the fly swat one… and I wish I’d chosen the other one. The pieces are so hard to get off the UFO that they bend or literally break in half. We played it once and i how have to glue 4 pieces back together. They should be made of plastic not cardboard :(

I was looking for a more interactive way to practice sight words with my students, and this fly swatter game has worked really well. My students are more engaged and excited to participate. They practice reading while moving, which keeps them focused and motivated. The cards are sturdy with clear printing, and the fly swatters feel durable enough for classroom use. Great option for teachers or parents who want a fun way to reinforce sight words.
