Works Well
This item performed better than I expected. It sufficiently warms the lens up and it lasted much longer than I anticipated when using my portable charging battery.

Does the job...sort of
1st think you should do is ditch the temp control "switch". It defaults to Off so you have to manually turn it to a temp setting when plugging in. You WILL forget to do this and it will be a night where you really needed this to work.It does the job it's made for. Suggest using it on your guide scope/finder lens. Don't bother getting one for anything larger then a 60mm lens though. It's not the products fault necessarily but the fact that it is USB powered, which is limited to only 2amp. That isn't enough power for keeping a 70mm or larger lens clear of dew or frost on a fall/winter night in the Midwest let alone in colder or more dewy climates. You need a 12v dew heater for those. This is one of those products that just cause they can make something, doesn't mean they should. Yes it will have power but it wont keep dew off throughout the night which means your images will not come out.If you want something for just your guide camera, this will be good. Anything bigger...spend your money elseware.

Exactly as advertised.
I have two of these dew heaters for my astrophotography rigs. They've been in use daily now for months. They do exactly as they claim, and I've had no issues with shorts or fires like other folks. I'd say they're high quality and worth every penny. Haven't had a single dew issue since they've arrived.
