It works - SOMETIMES
He has my other propane valve, failed. It was time to get a replacement. I wanted one with a gauge, and I thought this was a good one to try. As you may know, if you turn on the gas too quickly, there is a safety shut off That prevents the gas from flowing. Iโm not sure if this one is more sensitive than others but I have had difficulty where one day I couldnโt get my barbecue to fire up fully another fat it seems works fine, if I am super slow opening the valve. It can be super frustrating. If you have food ready to go on the grill and you just canโt get the barbecue to go. There is plenty of propane in the container so I know thatโs not the issue. And why does it fire up one day and not another? it can only be the valve. Iโm not sure what to tell you. It might work fine for you, but if I had to do it again, I might choose a different one.

It works!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works as designed. I like the gas gauge that tell me how much remains in the tank .

Had 2 Drill to increase flow
With a #21 drill bit, wrench and socket this product can be 5 stars. If this sounds like a lot of work itโs NOT. The inlet nipple that mates to the tank on this product had to be opened up. There is no way enough gas is gonna flow from the tank through a pin hole size opening enroute to the burner's let alone bring up to cooking temperature. So I unscrewed the inlet nipple from the end of the hose drilled both sides and re assembled. You will not be able to drill all the way threw the inlet nipple because there is a steel ball internally that acts as a check valve. After installation the old grill has new life again with plenty of gas flow.

Could benefit from additional 6 inches of length on hose
The assembly arrived quickly and the pricing was very competitive. The only concern is that the hose length is about 6 inches shorter than would be optimal. It fits but with a very tight bend in the hose at the tank connection which I am concerned may cause a failure at that point earlier than should be.
