Sevylor Colorado Inflatable Kayak, Two Person, Sea Kayak with Bag, Stable and Comfortable, Ideal for Lakes or Sea Shores

I have been kayaking and paddling open canoes for years now and really wanted something light that I can get out of the car easily for a nice relaxing paddle when I get away from work etc. Was really not expecting too much from an inflatable but I was really surprised. Construction is good and the feel really inspires confidence. The seats are a bit fiddly but I am not using these as I am paddling it kneeling like an open canoe with a single one bladed paddle. Paddled in this way i have found that it tracks very well (with the Skeg) and can even be edged and driven well with a ‘J-stroke’ like a traditional canoe. I wasn’t expecting that. It’s stability is great meaning you can swim from It and easily get back in without flipping the boat ....if you use the correct technique. Really really nice boat. The most important thing for me is that you can silently glide it gracefully and with a good turn of speed across a nice expanse of open water ..... without all of the faff of roof racks and manhandling of a large open canoe. Wish I’d tried one sooner. By the way padding it as an open canoe is perhaps a bit less common and in my opinion is really really rewarding plus much drier than as a kayak. Product feels great, however the description on the Amazon site is wrong — this product does not come with paddle or foot pump. However this is a know issue and the Amazon Customer Services team issued a refund of £64 pound odds that covers (more or less) the cost of getting a paddle and pump.First time in the water, we used a battery powered pump and the supplied manometer. Firstly the manometer did not register any psi, despite the boat being somewhat inflated. Do not wanting to over inflate we went for firm but not solid (art not science:-)) the boat floated and handled well, however was soft and felt rather under inflated— so we will order a hand pump and see if the situation improves— I suspect the battery operated pump lacked sufficient power (good for beds not boats). I will report back. We had a great time thou!Second time out with the boat correctly inflated- perfect, this is a great boat! I only wish it took Amazon fewer than 12 days to process a refund, still have not received the money.

I just bought this kyack today and took it 8 miles down the river spey. I must say this kyack would be harder to fall out of than stay in.it turns no problem at all and the build quality seems to be brilliant. I had a k1, one man kyack before and loved it, but As we are away to tackle 90 miles of the river Spey I thought I'd buy something that could carry more weight and I was not disappointed. Best buy ever!!!

I actually bought this while on holiday in Cornwall, as we needed something good and strong for the sea, and this Kayak did not disappointI also love the fact you can order from Amazon, even when your away from home, and it came in two days.Would recommend this to anyone.

Simple to use, easy to store. Doesn't take long to inflate and used by two absolute amateurs without incident so far.
