THEY WORK !
My VIZEO has terrible speakers. I have it running through my Yamaha amp.sometimes it's a hassle to have to turn everything on.I have made my own deflectors from PVC and wood for legs then the TV was on a table. Now I have it on the wall. The Turboscoops fit nicely, look great, and speech is crisp.I have hearing loss, and these help a LOT ! Thank You.

Major difference
I mounted a a TV with downward facing speakers on the overhang of my back deck. The first day I was pleased with how it worked until I realized that I needed to crank the volume in order to hear it. The sound traveled in all directions, and I'm pretty conscientious of the noise pollution I and too my neighbors. I considered a soundbar but decided to give these a shot. It's not gonna make your stock speakers sound better, but it does the job of directing the sound efficiently.Only negative comment is the adhesive provided sucks. Grab a roll of double sided Gorilla tape when you place your order. You're gonna need it.

Read specs before you buy
I should have read more into the specs. I needed them to be about 6 inches wider. I went on and put them on. They are easy to put on but it looks like they will come off after a period of time. They are just held on by double sided tape with one contact point

Pricey and worth it!
I recently got an "el-cheapo" Hisense model 40H4030F4 40" Roku Tv, and though the picture was great after tweaking various setting the sound from the smallish downward facing speakers was poor for my 77 y.o. ears with quite poor mid-range sensitivity. The is mounted on an articulated wall-mount arm; I noted that if i knelt in front of the TV the sound was much improved, and set out to design a pair of deflectors using FreeCAD, to be "printed" WITH A 3D MSLA printer. Then I ran across the KARE TurboScoops--just what I had envisioned! They are not cheap, in no small part due to their being well-engineered and being "Born in the USA!" (in imported I suspect they'd be $5.99 and rather flimsy). Some reviewers have commented re: the supplied double-sided tape--however I found that after cleaning the mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol the adhesion was great--they will not "go" anywhere. The included instructions call for using "cleaning solution" to prepare the surfaces; a broad term that includes many of today's household cleaners containing "protectants" that behave as lubricants and will work against adhesion. Using the alcohol and allowing it to dry thoroughly will work best.Recommended!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !
I have a smaller flatscreen TV, 36 inch. I had to cut the turbo scoops in half to make them fit. Had to cut the word “turbo scoop” off the bottom as it was too low, for the short leg heights.Hack saw, wire tin snips and power cutter scissors work just fine. Soft-ish sound reflective plastic. It’s in the directions how to do it.Universal fit.Worth every effort to make them custom formy application.Completely fixed the down firing speaker problems..!Sound clear. Voices clear. Volume turned down. Completely fix sound problems..!Thank You Turbo Scoops

Helps direct sound forward to viewing area
I noticed another reviewer mentioned using cardboard pieces. I also had made something similar out of cardboard. The speakers on tv’s these days are in the bottom/back. The sound goes everywhere except toward you, causing a need to increase the volume so the sound is so loud it travels to other rooms creating. Household “TV wars” from room to room. You need to visualize where the speakers are inside the tv slatted openings, with a flashlight and make sure you get them in the correct spot.Once that is done, they work fine for simply directing the sound forward to the viewing area increasing sound clarity, and reducing the ambient sounds that travel. All of my tvs got the volume turned down several notches.
