No more dragged and damaged plugs
I leave the existing kinda lite-duty 4 cable and connector in car trunk and run this heavy duty cable to the trailer, like an extension cord. It can handle the trunk being shut on it and the coil automatically helps keep it off the ground. Works great for me.

Failed after one month of use
The connector lost continuity in 2 of the 4 wires after one month. On the bright side the shielding was thick and tough to strip off when I spliced new connectors on it.
