I am a florist and sometimes I like to explore other peoples thought and experiences. This book gave me some fresh perspectives. Written well and fun for any floral enthusiast!

This book is a beautiful book and I'm sure once I'm over my initial disappointment I will come to appreciate what the author has to say. From the title, I expected a much different book than I got. i'm an old hippie I guess . . . thought petal and twig would be rather earthy.

i thought this book would show more pictures of how to use petals and twigs during there seasons.it only had one small picture of each season.. it mostly just talked about what things were around that you could use.. not how to use them....i had hoped it would give more examples on how to use petals and twigs, with simple ideas not a book i would buy again...

Thought it was a cocktail table book, small, not worth the price

Have I made any of these arrangements? Not yet. But I love flipping through the pages of this beautiful book.

This little book would make a nice hostess gift. It's not a very good reference. I was hoping for some simple displays featuring dried twigs or flowers from throughout the year that could inspire my daughter-in-law to utilize some of her pieces from her beautiful pernnenial garden. What I like to do is buy one or two "signature" flowers and make a bouquet of found or local flowers from my garden, which is why I thought this book would inspire me. Many of the pretty pictures in this book were cropped to make them look dramatic. And there really weren't enough pictures to satisfy my needs.

Since I live in the same part of the country as Valerie, I always love to hear her opinions of gardening in our part of the world! I especially enjoyed her observations on what makes up bouquets, not just the pretty, pretty flowers but all parts and pieces of a garden. Really enjoyed this book.

Petal & Twig is a joyful show-and-tell book about creating stress-free bouquets from the bounty of our gardens. Cleverly written and loaded with colorful photographs (mostly taken by the author), this book has great ideas relating to floral arrangements, cool vase collecting, personal inspirations, and a core list of plants for our gardens. A lot of passion and creativeness went into this delightful book. I highly recommend it.
