Holy Cow! What a great mouse, just don't use their spy software.
Wow. I had been busing the same mouse for about 10 years for gaming when I got a new gaming mouse pad and the mouse simply didn't function normally so I got this Razer Basilisk V3 to try out.It was cheap, $36 USD and I also just received my Razer mouse pad thinking this mouse would be a great match. My team and I was undefeated all evening on Call of Duty MW2.The mouse glides very easily across the mouse pad so perfectly, my aim and control was perfect tonight. There's a downside to these Razer and other products. When you plug them in, they prompt you to install their software so you can customize it with the colors and whatnot. The problem is, the software is used to control the LED colors is 384 Megabytes, which is far too large for simply controlling LEDs and my research on the software and studying their privacy agreement tells me that they're slurping our data for resale on the data brokerage market.Without the software, the mouse and pad simply changes colors and mostly looks ok but I'd never install a software package that's so huge and (to me) suspect.Anyhow, try a fresh mouse for a great new experience.Just avoid the spyware.

Best mouse for both work and gaming.
The best mouse I've ever owned. Main useful features that make this mouse stand out is the thumb rest which is perfectly designed for my hand and the infinite scroll wheel. The feel of clicking and the dpi settings are well made. The 4 white gliders are very nice and the mouse glides across my mousepad with ease.I threaded the cord through from under my monitor into my PC. There's a lot of cord length and it is braided nicely to the point that it feels essentially wireless. The only thing that could make this mouse better is the ability to change its weight like you can for some logitech gaming mice, but personally I got used to this weight very quickly, its not heavy but not insanely light either.Lastly, the only real difference between this mouse and the $200 counterpart is the "wireless technology", which for me the difference of cord vs no cord is non-existent for me (I will get near 0 latency when wired anyway!). Well worth the $40 I spent on it. Would buy again, 10/10

Solid purchase for a gaming mouse.
Bought the Razer mouse to replace my Hyper X and it still works till this day. The keys function very well and it’s an added plus when it comes to extra function for additional side key inputs for gaming. The application for the Razer is also easy to use when changing the RGB colorations and the coordination is great. You can change the scroll speed and DPI settings for your mouse with the Razer application and the mouse drags smoothly on flat surfaces with no issues to glide. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and will purchase it again if I ever nerd a new mouse again.

My favorite gaming mouse! 2 years and counting
This mouse is honestly a favorite for me! It was so good that ive purchased a second one after 2 years of use on the first one. This mouse is very comfortable for my hands which are relatively big and the mouse glides around smoothly on my mousepad. The side buttons always come in handy for mapping on games and the aiming button is super helpful if you play games like Fortnite or Apex. The freescroll button in the middle is wonderful when scrolling through long pages quickly, and the DPI button under the freescroll button is amazing for changing the speed of the cursor. I honestly love this mouse, with its great durability and absolute ease of use! Couldn't recommend another mouse other than this one!

Somethings improved, somethings worse.
So, I caught this on Prime Day to replace my V2, and while I like it, there are some things that really make it feel like a downgrade vs an upgrade. EDIT: So, I feel like this is a firmware/software issue, but whenever I use the free scroll feature with the smart reel option checked, sometimes it just won't go back to tactile. Not something that makes it unusable, but it is an annoyance that exists that hopefully Razer will fix soon.1. Why remove the resistance adjustment on the bottom? TERRIBLE move. The button they replaced it is in a terrible location, and does not feel good to use. The wheel itself doesn't feel anywhere near as clicky as the V2. The V2 tactile response is damn amazing, the V3 just...meh. Feels mushy.2. The trigger button not being able to be removed? Why? Meh change. It's a useless button that sits far too forward in the first place imo. I guess if you're a high palm grip, it works, of even a claw, but eh.3. The new LED's around the base look really good and make the angles a lot more noticeable, and I dig it.4. The pads on the bottom definitely feel better. The hard angles are gone, and it does feel smoother. Less clinginess if feels like. Big fan of this change.5. While technically heavier, it does feel lighter and I think that just comes down to the balancing of this mouse. The V2 is a lot more front loaded with weight, and the V3 feels like it's more towards the middle. Good change.Overall, it's not a bad mouse, but not worth more than 40 bucks in all honesty.

Worlds best gaming mouse.
I bought a Basilisk V1 in March 2019, used it until Today, Jul 3rd 2025. With well over 5 million clicks the left mouse button finally started going out. Same day ordered the new Basilisk V3 and it is just as amazing, Clutch works perfect, and I really love how they changed the adjustment of the scroll wheel. Aswell as the two extra buttons for MMB Left and Right which is a button I never knew could exist. Razer fan for life. Also thanks for the stickers.

Gaming
I’ve been using the Razer Basilisk V3 for a few weeks now, and it’s hands down one of the best gaming mice I’ve owned. The ergonomics are spot on—super comfortable even during long gaming sessions. The customizable buttons are a huge plus, especially for FPS and MMO games. The RGB lighting looks amazing and adds a nice touch to my setup. The scroll wheel is incredibly smooth with great tactile feedback, and the sensor is lightning fast and accurate. Whether I’m gaming or editing, this mouse delivers top performance every time. Highly recommended for any serious gamer!
