The Good--Well, actually, the Excellent. I took a chance on the Bruder eye masks because I knew if they didn't work, I could return them. From the very first time I used one, I knew I'd be keeping them. I was skeptical about the moisture part, but I could literally feel it on my eyelids and on my fingertip when I touched eyelids after using the mask. Unlike the hot damp washcloth method I've been using (which starts to cool off in seconds), the Bruder eye mask stays hot for at least five minutes, then cools. It feels wonderful while you're using it, and your eyes feel wonderful afterwards. Usually hot pads that you heat in the microwave have a smell, but the Bruder eye mask doesn't give off any smell at all when heated. The Bad--Just that the description is missing some useful information. The strap is made of soft elastic, with a good length of Velcro at the back for adjustment. While the front is textured, the unseen part that goes against your eyes is a very soft material. The price--I choked on it a bit, but I'm glad I got the pack of two, as you have to let the mask dry at least 24 hours when you wash it by hand. Having two means you never have to go without. Also, being able to cut way back on eyedrops means they'll pay for themselves very quickly. The Ugly--Yeah, ok, look at them. Literally kind of ugly. This is not a sleek, stylish mask. It's chunky and functional. But--it works so well I wouldn't dock it even a quarter star for how it looks. Check with your eye care professional first. If they think hot, moist compresses will help your dry eyes, blepharitis, etc., the Bruder eye mask is definitely worth trying. I'm super happy that I did.

The eye compress was a heavier than expected. It took between 20-25sec to heat. It does work. My eyes felt great afterwards.
