This DX 9 is my second wheelchair from EA One. When I needed a second chair, there was no doubt I’d buy from this remarkable company again. My new chair’s design, size, weight, and remote control folding feature make it easy to use and transport. Although it weighs just 65 pounds, it’s no lightweight when it comes to performance. It’s a tough little chair that’s easy to navigate in tight spots, making shopping and elevators a breeze. The battery life is exceptional, allowing me to travel long distances without a hitch. The company is a joy to deal with, too. When I had a problem with the chair, they responded immediately and Owen, the customer service repwho helped me, went above and beyond to make sure it was handled quickly and efficiently. He even sent me their new upgraded leather seats to compensate for any inconvenience I may have experienced. (Super comfy seats!) I can’t stress enough that the customer service at this company is exceptional—amazingly responsive and pleasant, to boot. When they say EA One is reliable, they aren’t kidding!

I purchased this chair primarily to get in and out of the hospital and ER where there is absolutely no parking because of construction that will last several years. Due to a heart condition, I suffer from bad shortness of breath. As my wife is needing hospital services more and more often, this chair will be a life-saver for me.Shipping from Calif took one week - pretty fast considering it was trucked. Packed very well, everything arrived in perfect shape. Worth mentioning: all of the owners manuals and accessories are packed inside the big pouch under the seat. (They even give you extra zip ties.) Before shipment, I was concerned that I wasn't getting the latest model (especially the 20AH battery). One call and they changed the order to send me the correct model. During the one week wait, I had 4 or 5 questions - EA One responded with answers IMMEDIATELY, even 2 questions that I posed this past Sunday. Seriously - on a Sunday!I examined the workmanship and quality of the chair and am duly impressed. I am a big guy - 275lbs - and this chair is STRONG. I have already given it about 10 mins of test drive up and down my driveway which is steeped about 15 degrees. The joystick is a breeze to operate. After asking, they just sent me another video on charging and removing the battery. I plan on removing it each time I load it in my car trunk to cut back some on the weight. Let me assure everyone, once you perform the steps in person to do any of the functions - it is really much easier than trying to comprehend from the videos. Not faulting the videos mind you - just a fact. I think I will probably order a cup holder as I like to carry crushed ice.Update Day 2: After another test drive today, I decided to remove the battery (it weighs 8lbs) and fold up the chair and see if it fits in the back of my Prius. Even with the XL width of 21.5 inches, it fits perfect in the back "trunk".At this time, if I could give this rating 10 stars - I would. The product and the service are simply phenomenal. If you are looking for a motorized chair - look no further.Update: I have since used the chair twice - once at the ER as I had bought it for and the 2nd time was at Costco, where I had to park some distance away. Everything worked perfect and I am getting good at all aspects of unloading and loading back into my vehicle. One bit of advice - I have found that in crowded buildings, the fastest speed is too fast for maneuvering around people and obstacles. I backed it down to the middle speed and find that is plenty fast and a lot more controllable.

I have a badly fractured leg (as well as advanced rheumatoid arthritis). I had several falls with crutches, initially;then, as time went on, found myself weakened and in so much pain from my joints that simply moving from room to room became very difficult. I tried a manual wheelchair, but carpets proved to be too hard for me. So, I decided to invest in a proper mobility device and after much research, decided on this wheelchair. First the positives: it is very comfortable; it runs smoothly and easily on hard floors and can even turn on a dime; it's quiet; it's beautiful; it arrived seven days early; and customer service was more than nice when calling to confirm my order before shipment. And the negatives: turning going forward on carpet takes more planning; turning going backward on carpet is pretty much impossible (leaving me stranded several times); it is not that easy to open manually, taking all of my strength and hurting my injured leg; and it is very heavy - I cannot travel with this and couldn't lift it in the car if my life depended on it. In summary, though a nice chair, it isn't perfect. There are enough serious flaws that I wouldn't spend the money again. My home is large and old - that means lots of tight corners and more than half thick carpeted. Also, the freedom I hoped to gain to not only travel again, but to take simple trips to the park, or grocery store is not going to be possible. So, be careful before surrendering your money - especially such a great amount of it. Read lots of reviews and do your research!

I bought this power chair because I have primary progressive multiple sclerosis, It is a really good quality chair, I had some problems with it in the beginning and I reached out to the company and they did an absolutely fantastic job fixing my problems they even included a free drink holder , they are a fantastic company to deal with and I would definitely deal with them again..EA1 is reliable to be sure. Highly recommended.

I am so impressed with this company! I was originally looking at another chair but the reviews on this one were so great that i decided to go with this one and although I haven't had my chair for very long I'm sure I made the right decision.
