Is this good for left handed person

I'm left handed and it works a treat for me, the only minor downfall to this is the stool isn't particularly comfortable for sitting long lengths of time, but the desk itself is great for the value!!

Is this suitable for an 8 year old?

The table is great for drawing, art or homework BUT an 8 year old will need help if table adjustment is required.
